Hi All!

I am applying to the Sacramento ABSN cohort for 2016 and would like to hear from others that are applying or graduates of the program! Current application stats, thoughts on the program, etc. I have my bachelors from UC Davis in Nutrition and have TONS of experience in the ER. I am currently an ER Tech at Lodi memorial and have been a scribe at UC Davis. My science GPA is 3.0, but my last 60 semester units are 3.87 and my TEAS scores that I just took today are all over 90%.

I just emailed the admission counselors! My friend who applied last year called a bunch of times and they eventually told her over the phone before decisions came out so she told me to contact them a few times to see.

she said she didn't know any more and just reminded me that it's a slow process. so i feel like they might release the decisions closer to the end of october rather than sooner.

Thanks for the update. It's agonizing! I'm local, but I know that some applicants are from out of the area and even out of state. If anyone applied for the January start at SJSU (San Jose State University), I know that they won't release decisions until the end of November. Yikes.

Hey team, I finally decided to sit down and make some time to join the convo. I am also excited to hear back like you all. I heard from an SMU administrator the other day and was told that the end of October is probably the time-frame we're looking at due to the new NursingCas setup. I am also guessing, and this is a 100% guess, that they might be waiting for the Elmsn applicants to finish interviewing as well so they know what they are working with as far as potential "dual program applicant" spillover. Who knows, anyway I hope to meet you all come Jan.

I also was told by an administrator that we should expect to hear "by the end of October". This is very vague, but as GhostyRN mentioned, that probably means the end of the month. I'm trying not to check my email too often...

Thank you, aplevin and GhostyRN for posting these updates. I applied to both the ELMSN-FNP and ABSN programs; I had an interview for the FNP program on October 1st and was told we would hear from admissions by October 20th or so. I agree it is possible that they are waiting for those admissions decisions to be reached/released for us dual program applicants.

Looking back at some forum posts from last year's applicants, it seems that admitted students were notified in mid to late September. It sounds like the NursingCAS system is just complicating things this year and slowing down the process (or they had an unusually high volume of applications). I will post if I hear anything (good or bad). Thanks again to everyone posting updates :)

Hello hopefuls! I had my interview yesterday for the FNP program, and they told us that we would hear something at the end of the week.

Congratulations Natalie! I also received my acceptance this morning by email (ABSN Sacramento). I also applied to the FNP program and am still waiting on that admissions decision.
