Samuel Merritt ABSN Sacramento cohort 2016

Published

Hi All!

I am applying to the Sacramento ABSN cohort for 2016 and would like to hear from others that are applying or graduates of the program! Current application stats, thoughts on the program, etc. I have my bachelors from UC Davis in Nutrition and have TONS of experience in the ER. I am currently an ER Tech at Lodi memorial and have been a scribe at UC Davis. My science GPA is 3.0, but my last 60 semester units are 3.87 and my TEAS scores that I just took today are all over 90%.

Hope to hear about all of your experiences and pray that we all get in! :D :D :D

I am on the waitlist. I tried contacting admissions twice and called once. I haven't gotten any notification.

I was on waitlist #5. I just got a call and was told that I got in! I was also told that the deposit is due on November 6th (Friday) and the orientation is on November 19-20th.

I was #1 on the waitlist and I got the phone call today that I'm in! Congrats, luxi07 I'm so glad more waitlisters are moving up! Excited to meet you all!

Kristin, have you heard anything?

I got an email this morning that I was accepted into the Sacramento cohort! Congratulations to everyone, I will be seeing you in January :)))

The dean emailed me an acceptance letter this morning. Have you heard?

Congratulations!!! You can breathe now! I still haven't heard back. It seem like the San Mateo notifications are coming out slowly... I am registering in classes for my back-up plan at SJSU. I can always drop if I hear good news from Samuel Merritt.

Thank you. You will hear something soon. At least you have a back up plan. Let me know what happens :)

Hello all!

Congrats to all who have been accepted into SMU!! And good luck to those who are still waiting to hear back/are on the waitlist :) The ABSN program is an intense/exciting/super challenging but most importantly amazing journey! I graduated from the San Mateo campus this past June and moved back home to Sac (I originally applied at the Sac campus but the waitlist was too long). I wanted to reach out to your group because I have 3 scrub tops (size small and really good condition) that I am trying to get rid of for $30. I recommend having 3 tops because after clinicals and care plans doing laundry is the last thing on your mind. Let me know if interested... it can get expensive at SMU.

Hi jmeeleigh, I'm interested! Are the tops pretty true to size? I can't private message on this site yet (haven't posted enough yet) but if you could send me an email at [email protected] that would be great! :)

Has anyone ever interviewed for Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Sacramento CA? I have an L&D panel interview this week and I would love to know what type of questions will be asked. This is my first RN Interview
