  1. I think you should be fine... My self-assessment scores were lower than yours (57% correct, 72nd percentile) and I was able to pass the NCLEX with 75 questions.
  2. Don't worry. I felt the same exact way when mine shut off at 75. I had at least 10 SATA and a few priority questions and felt that I was guessing on them all. I heard that it may be a good thing that you got a lot of SATA because it's giving you hard questions and not easy questions. Yes, it will be hard waiting for the results. Just keep checking BON to see if your license # pops up. Mine popped up around 2.5 days after my exam that I took on Saturday.
  3. To be honest, I forgot the questions because I was soo nervous about not doing well but a lot of friends who also did Uworld all agree that it was very similar and many thought that Uworld was actually harder than the Nclex. Good luck!
  4. You should be fine. My overall score is about 55% and my self-assessment scores were 57%, placed in 72nd percentile and had a very high chance of passing. Took the nclex and stopped at 75. When it stopped at 75, I felt that I 100% completely failed the test and actually wasn't ready to stop taking the questions. I felt like there were a lot of questions there that I didn't know. I stressed everyday after the test about the result and about 2-3 days later my license was posted onto the boards of Registered nursing. :). Just try to relax and not stressed too much while taking the test. Just remember the foundation of your knowledge and the rationales you read from Uworld.
  5. For the NCLEX I just used Uworld as my study guide. At first I did a couple of questions with all the categories selected so the system can get some data about my knowledge. From there I looked in the areas that I was struggling most and from there each day, I would do questions only from a certain category. For an example, on Monday I focused on Adult care, next day was fundamentals, then child life and so on. I made sure to read the rationales. I did at least 60 questions a night but not all at the same time though because I didn't want to overwhelm myself.
  6. I consider myself an average student (maybe a little bit towards the lower end as compared to my classmates lol) who had a few A's and mostly B's and C's. All I used to study was UWorld. My performance stats were 55% and was in the 64th percentile. On the Self assessment I got 57% with the average of the test at 55%, was placed in the 72nd percentile, and had a "very high" chance of passing according to it. Took the test and passed it with 75 questions even though I felt that I totally failed the NCLEX. So I guess Uworld is pretty accurate :). As long as you are scoring above the averages of the tests then I think you should be good for the Nclex. :)
  7. I live in California and took my test on Saturday January 14th at 2:00pm. Had 75 questions and at least 10 SATA, one math, and everything else was a blurr lol. There were a lot of questions where I felt that I completely did not know the answer to. It was to the point where I sang in my head the song "Jesus take the wheel, take it from my hand, cause I can't do it all my own." When it stopped at 75 questions my heart dropped and thought that I 100% failed the test. I was actually upset that they didnt give me more questions so I can prove to them that I know my stuff! I wasnt ready to end the test yet and walked out acccepting the thought that I failed. About an hour after the test I did the PVT with accurate cc info and got the good pop up. Read that it may not be accurate if done before 24 hours after the test. So I tried again after 24 hours, then 40, then 3 days later (but this time using a visa gift card with only a few cents left in it) and still got the good pop up. The wait was a torture and i couldnt sleep at night because I was too stressed about it. I read multiple online posts about the pvt trick, hoping that it still worked and that I wasn't getting a false positive especially because I took it on a weekend. Checked BON today (Tuesday at 1:30am) and saw that I was issued an RN license! I consider myself an average student (maybe a little bit towards the lower end as compared to my classmates lol) who had a few A's and mostly B's and C's. All I used to study was UWorld. I did at least 60 questions a day and read all of the rationales for 2 weeks leading up to my test day. My performance stats were 55% and was in the 64th percentile. I took the one-time use Self assessment that came with Uworld on the day before the NCLEX. I got 57% with the average of the test at 55%, was placed in the 72nd percentile, and had a "very high" chance of passing according to it which definitely made me feel less anxious and gave me more confidence that I can pass the test. My friend who also used Uworld said that the questions were just like NCLEX's and that uworld's is actually harder. I definitely know that because of Uworld I passed so I do recommend Uworld!
  8. A few of my classmates has already been hired for the new grad residency. But they said that the recruiters were reluctant to hire new grads that recently graduated for the first cohort of the year, so we may still have a chance with the second cohort??
  9. Yep, this was for the OR New Grad position.
  10. I also applied and actually went in to talk to the hiring manager last week. He said that they had already begun interviewing people and that they are really looking for people who had volunteered or had their preceptorship in the OR. So because I didn't have that my application might've been weeded out
  11. To those who got accepted. Did you guys already have orientation and do you guys know how much the tuition is for the ABSN program? Please let me know if you do! Thanks!
  12. I was on waitlist #5. I just got a call and was told that I got in! I was also told that the deposit is due on November 6th (Friday) and the orientation is on November 19-20th.
  13. I called extended learning and the lady that I spoke to said that the Spring 2016 cohort is now filled and that they are now reviewing for the summer cohort. Since it is now filled, she said that my application is now being looked for the Summer cohort. I got a 28 on my evaluation and she said that it was pretty competitive and told me that I may hear from them sooner than later. Once again, Congrats to those who got accepted!
  14. I've also been put on the waitlist. I'm waitlist #5. Hopefully I get in. Also, CONGRATS TO EVERYONE WHO GOT IN! =DD
  15. I just received an email saying that my application has passed the SMU admission review and has been found complete. Did anyone also receive this message? I feel like my app is late because it took awhile to fix some stuff on my application.
