Hi everyone! Just wanted to get the conversation started for those who applied for the ABSN Fall 2019 cohort. I applied for the Sacramento location but would love to connect with all who applied in general! Good luck everyone!

It seems like having all the classes that determine your science GPA is key. Does anyone know?
I have heard from them that it is highly recommended that you at least have your science prerequisites done. They do seem to carry more weight than the other non-science courses.

RiverDancer,
I has a friend who had Patho in progress at the time she applied and she got in. So I think you still have a great chance since your main sciences are complete.
Thank you for the info on the GPA. I did see the post baccalaureate GPA, and I was wondering if that’s what they’re using also.

I agree with @MamaKat916, I think you'll still have a good chance especially since you'll be done with them all at the same time. I had both Pharm and Pathophysio in progress and is waitlisted in a good position for the summer ABSN... I'm still waiting to hear back for both that and this!

It's so incredibly frustrating to find out our actual last 60 unit GPA. I know that Kathryn has absolutely no clue about GPA calculation, but also doesn't seem to know where to point us to find out the exact information. The closest thing I can find in NursingCAS is close, but lower than the GPA I calculated. To find it:
1. Log onto your NursingCAS account
2. Click on Submit Application
3. Click on blue Download Program Application icon. It will show your entire application that was submitted.
4. Scroll to the end of Academic History to the Calculated GPA section. The best I can tell is that they are using the Post-Baccalaureate GPA.
Let me know if you have any questions or find something different.
I hope we hear something in the next few weeks!
Hello,
I did everything mentioned above and I still don’t see my calculated gpa. Is it because the verification credit and verification grade is blank. Even though they said they received my transcripts.
They told me that if you have more then two in progress unless its a odd year you will probably not get in. ? They really want most the classes done or at least that is what I was told by Ann Seed. I had two classes left the first time and none the second time that I applied. Waitlisted both times

Is this regarding the four science prerequisites or all of them?
Does anyone know when Nursing CAS "resets" for the next application cycle? I'd like to update my resume, some of the supporting information, etc. in preparation for the July 1 application due date but it is all still greyed out (inaccessible) for the application that was due on April 1.
Any ideas or any experience from the folks who applied previously?

This was for all of the pre recs. I would say though even more so with the science pre recs. Essentially they told me that if their is someone who has them all done vs not even if you may have a better application they will take the person who has theirs all done.
