Applications can be picked up at the school. Application deadline was Sept 30 then Saint Vincent's Someone will email you of your entrance exam schedule. The school suggests using the NLN PAX-RN review book for the entance exam. You get the results of your exam about 2 weeks after the exam(that's if you gave them a self addressed stamped envelope). Test is $15. After your application is completed (meaning all transcripts and exam results are in), your packet will be forwarded to an Admissions Officer to review your application. They will then call you for an interview, I think letter will then be sent out a couple of weeks after depending on how busy they are I think.

Applications for Fall '09 starts November I think.

Good luck.:loveya:

I went for my interview this afternoon. My interviewer mentioned that they first look at the entrance exam score before the other requirements and that an 80 is an excellent score. She also mentioned that critical thinking is important.

I'm very happy that I was called for an interview, but this doesn't guarantee my space in the program. They're only taking 40 students for spring 09 with 3 more test dates and about 30 students taking per test. Hope is back but not high enough to get me to sleep tonight! Argh!

not an LPN but i do have 2 in my class and the jist of it is no matter how long you have been one you will be excused from the first semester fundamentals of nursing, and thats all. you will have to complete medsurg I&II, OB,PSYCH,PEDS with the rest of the class and any ither general educations you may need ..i will tryto get my classmate to join allnurse so she can give more insight on the matter.

Hi Ponchie

I was going to apply this spring but decided not to because a night shift will not be good for me cause I'm a new NY resident, have an 11 mo old and a Dr hubby whose not always there. I want to apply for fall 09 but wanted to take some prereqs online through Edukan but am not sure if svcmc will accept their credits. I sent an email to #### who reply to let me know that she'll redirect my question to someone who can answer it. Still no words yet.

Anyway, I wanted to know how you manage to take the prereqs with nursing courses? Is it difficult to do? I just want to see if it is doable in case I don't get to do my prereqs online.

Thanks for your input.

hi guys...

I believe all hope and faith on my acceptance to St Vincents just left and slammed the door on my face. St Vincent was the only school I really want to be into and all other schools I applied to for the Spring are all backups. Since I know now that I will not be going to St Vincents, please pray for my pending applications.

God bless to those taking the test and others waiting for the school's reply :crying2::crying2::(
