I just finished my Nursing Fundamental class. It started on May 28 and ended June 28. And we will start again in august for Med surgical 1/clinical and health promotion. I definitely agree with organizing your study area, cleaning, and more. I plan on doing that and reading some books on nursing test strategies now that I know how the tests are formulated. I am just ecstatic right now. Can't believe that after less than a week from my interview I received my acceptance package yesterday. I never thought I could get in this school as it is a tough program to get into. I am so excited about my future!!! Anyone else got their acceptance letter?

Wow...thanks for the update. I took the online practice with no preparation today and scored 56% :-( but that's OK. I wanted to have an idea of my weakness before opening the ATI book. Now I know what to focus on.

I would recommend you check out youtube for better explanation on dimensional analysis. It will become second nature to you once you know the basics. you can start with this link You also have to memorize some key conversions like 1 in = 2.54 cm etc...In that case if you are looking for inch then it would be set up like this 1 in/2.54 cm because you need to cancel out cm.

wow... thanks for sharing your story with us. That's exactly why I want to be a nurse. I would love to work with children going through cancer. I have an aunt who's 41 now she decided to change her business major 2 years ago for nursing after giving birth to a premature baby. The nurses were her inspiration just like you. I was about to create a thread for this! I am taking it too for my BSN program. It was going well until my last lecture today. These isomers are starting to kick me in the head. Let's stick together to fight it. We can use this thread to share our struggles and how we were able to comprehend a concept if possible. My advice is to study a little everyday and practice. I have been going on youtube to get better explanations.

hmmm... I've never heard of that. Make sure the person telling you that has some good authority because you don't want to go take the test base on a receptionist information. But if it is true then at least get prepared a little for it. You always need to review any test.

I will be taking Micro next semester with Growth and development the two last classes before I go to UAMS BSN program!!!. I went to the first micro class today so I could get a syllabus to help me prepare for what's coming next spring. Although the professor had a strong Indian accent he seems to have a good grasp of the subject and the ability to teach it. The introduction was so interesting that I wanted to register for the class until I remembered I also am taking Organic chem (sigh..) I just hope he'll be able to use the Microphone because it was hard to hear him. Good luck to you all and for those of you taking it next semester as well let's stick together next time!

You can tell your prof about the situation. Or, if you don't mind, you can ask if it's possible for you to join his lab session to get a better grasp of things even if it is not your assigned lab. I had students do that in my AP class.

I just started studying for it today. I have not schedule a test date yet because I'm starting my fall semester this Friday and I wanted to see how hard things would be for me to study for the semester and study for the Teas. Plus I need to schedule according to my classes calendar. Good luck to you! I started English today and should be done with it by tomorrow. Then I'll do the reading section.
