Sacramento State Spring 2022

Hi everyone- I wanted to start a thread for those of us who have become accustomed to living on the edge of our seats, who would like some moral support, and who applied/ will apply for Sac States BSN program for Spring 2022. Anyone know the point cutoff for the last class? Did they end up taking 80 students? How many points do you have?

I got in as well !! Congrats everyone ? can’t wait to meet everyone in January!

It was 73 again. I spoke with Heidi a few weeks ago and she said based off unverified scores that 73 was the cutoff. The person that ranked 81 had 73 points and 82-100 I think had 72 points. 
 

I have 72 points and I am #5 on the waitlist. 
I’m hoping I get in!! ????

That’s crazy! But you should get in! I’ve seen 3 people say they will be denying their acceptances

So the department chooses our classes for us right? So if all the classes we need to take for next semester are Nursing courses and we don't need anything else, we don't need to enroll in anything ourselves?

That’s what I understood from the email! I wonder when we’ll get the invite for the onboarding canvas site

Yeah I called them and they said if you aren't enrolling in any other courses you need like co-requisites you don't need to do anything! They said it might be until Dec or even the beginning of Jan. though, which makes me wish we had earlier notice of our schedules tbh.

If anyone is curious about my point profile:

  • Adjusted Nursing GPA: 4.0 (40 pts)
  • TEAS Score: 92.7 (23 pts)
  • Health-Related Experience-Volunteer (3 pts)
  • Language Proficiency (3 pts)
  • Local High School (4 pts)

I had a total of 73 points. I'm not sure how they tie-break but my non-adjusted GPA included 2 B's.

Thanks for sharing your info! I have 72 points and am waitlist #5 ? Here are my scores:

-4.0 non-adjusted

-93.3 TEAS 

-no omits 

-first generation 

-healthcare experience 

The extra points section really helps people out, I’m bummed I didn’t qualify for more because I feel like my other stats are really strong. 
 

The tiebreakers are

1. Unadjusted GPA

2. #repeats

3. TEAS score

4. Military experience

I'm in the top 10 of the waitlist with 72 points. 

Didn't have a 4.0 unadjusted, but got 96 on the TEAS. No repeats.
