Sacramento State Spring 2020

Published

Hello!

I know I am early starting this but I have my eye on applying for the spring 2020 semester and thought I’d start this to help each other through the application process! Please feel free to ask questions, (I know I have many!) about any part of the application process.

Did everyone get the email today? Looks like the cutoff for top 155 is at 65 and the 80th (guaranteed spot) is at 69. They said the numbers will change after they verify applications and points, so the numbers will only improve!

I am at 67, so we will see what happens. End of November is kind of late but it is what it is!

I did see it! I'm also at 67. I'm still not holding my breath though, if they go from 69 points at spot 80 only down to 65 points at spot 155... I'm afraid theres going to be 60+ people with 68 and 67 points! Does anyone know how they rank tie breakers?

That's so good to hear! Do you guys think I should be worried because I haven't received any email yet?

@anyn did you check your spam box?

They tie break using unadjusted GPA and TEAS scores.

I got a little worried at first because i didn't receive the email. However, I found it in my spam folder!

ack! I’ve got 3.917 unadjusted and 92.7 on teas, no idea how that compares to all the other 67 point people. I’m going to be a ball of nerves for the next month. Deep breaths!

About half my emails from sac state end up in my spam box. Always keep an eye on that folder! ☺️

OMG it was in my spam folder! Thank you so much, I was getting so worried. That's so strange though because I applied for fall 2019 and it didn't go to spam.

I'm surprised by the low number of applicants though. I thought there'd be more. The same thing with the cut-off point, it's a bit relieving to know it's a tad lower compared to last spring.

November 22nd is so far away ? I keep rechecking my points to make sure I didn't calculate something wrong. This wait is going to be excruciating but I hope we all hear good news soon!

Also, I am very surprised with the amount of people that applied this semester considering they usually always go above 300 applicants.

Hi all!

I am currently a CSUS 4th semester student (admitted spring 18, graduating this winter). I wish you the best of luck in applying to this program and am happy to answer any questions to the best of my abilities.

I’ve seen some comments regarding scheduling for children or work. Unfortunately, the schedule is up in the air during front loading (the first 2 weeks), but you can anticipate being busy most, if not all days of the week. It is possible to work while in the program, but very difficult!

Congrats on almost being done!

By being busy all days of the week do you mean studying on the weekends, or will some of us have lectures and/or clinicals scheduled on weekends? What do schedules typically look like in terms of hours per day spent on campus and/or clinical sites?

It's already November, has anybody heard anything back yet?
