Sacramento State Spring 2020

Published

Hello!

I know I am early starting this but I have my eye on applying for the spring 2020 semester and thought I’d start this to help each other through the application process! Please feel free to ask questions, (I know I have many!) about any part of the application process.

If you don't mind me asking, how long and how did you study for the teas? Especially the science portion. Your score is so good! 88 is my goal.

Hey,

Sorry for not replying sooner I just got back from vacation. I started studying for the teas about 4 weeks before taking it. I used the momtrix teas secrets study manual and some online quizzes/ worksheets. I spent the first two weeks just reading through the book and taking notes on the things I knew I would need to focus more on and only studied about 3 hours each day. The last two weeks I spent about 5-8 hours studying and read each page throughly in the book. Any section I had difficulty with I would search up worksheets online and also quizzes and continue to do practice problems until I was getting 100%. I also spent about 2 hours of my study time each day reviewing my a&p notes (that is the only way besides the section in the momtrix book that I used to study for the science portion). I suggest taking as many practice test as you can find (I took all 3 practice test in the back of the momtrix book and 1 I found online). I hope this helps!

Does anyone know if the supplemental application is available yet?

@anyn Yes, it is open until 10/1.

@anyn The link to the supplemental application is on the nursing website where the spring 2020 instructions are. It's not with the other supplemental applications on saclink (as far as I can tell), so it's a little confusing.

Hopefully this link works:

Thank you for this helpful advice!! I just retook my teas and I owe a lot to your study plan. I would've never considered studying 8 hours a day otherwise?

When sending ati scores do we send them CA STATE SACRAMENTO or CA STATE SACRAMENTO TEAS? I just want to make sure I'm sending them to the right place.

Heidi said that we can send our scores to either of those.

Does anyone know what the daily schedule is like in the program?

I'm optimistically hopeful I might get a spot on the waitlist. I'm also a parent so I am trying to lay the groundwork for getting childcare coverage in the event I'm lucky enough to need it for Spring 2020. Any insight on what the hypothetical days/hours are would be extremely helpful! Thank you!

Hey all. Jumping in on this convo. I applied as well.
Science GPA 4.0
I had one "B" omitted in Speech, I couldn't retake it in time unfortunately.
~Adjusted GPA 4.0
TEAS 88.0
I had 11 Alt Criteria points
I think I applied with either 66 or 68 points. Which felt was not at all very good, but it is what it is! We will see.

Hey guys,

I just submitted my supplement application. My stats are:

GPA: 40 points (4.0)

TEAS: 17 points (88.0)

Optional Criteria: 16 points

Total: 73 points

Im really hoping the stats don't go up this semester? Good luck to everyone applying, I hope we all hear some good news!

I just submitted my supplemental application as well and my stats are:

GPA: 4.0 / 40 points

TEAS: 88.0% / 17 points

So my point total is also 73 points which I hoping is good enough!

Submitted my application with...

GPA: 4.0 (40 points)

TEAS: 90.0% (19 points)

Optional Criteria: 16 points

TOTAL: 75 points

Good luck to everyone!
