Hello!

I know I am early starting this but I have my eye on applying for the spring 2020 semester and thought I’d start this to help each other through the application process! Please feel free to ask questions, (I know I have many!) about any part of the application process.

Congratulations to everyone that got in!!

I'm still refreshing with nothing. Is there anyone else that was expecting some sort of news today that has heard nothing? I know I was only in waitlist territory for points but I am very anxious to see my standing. I guess I'm just hoping I'm not the only one still waiting!!

Same here, nothing & applied in waitlist range. I think they may have released all 80 at once? Or maybe they’re doing it in waves.

@ambk1 Ok that's good to hear. So far everyone I have heard from that did get an email was accepted. Maybe they are just waiting to send the standings at 5pm like they originally said in the email?

I was doing so well, being to relaxed and patient today, not checking my email til 5. Then I got texts from a friend about her email and now I can't stop checking!

Congrats to everyone who got in!! We should make a Facebook page for our class if there isn’t one yet. That way we can sort of get to know each other before orientation in January ?

I got my notification. Alt #7 ?????? Says they were up to #15-18 the last 3 Spring semesters so I’m hopeful! I got into CCSF so I’m going either way but it would AMAZING to not have to commute or relocate (or go ADN Bridge route!) Do alts still attend orientation?

I'm alternate #24 with 67 points, so I don't think I'll be admitted even if I wait. It's all good though, I was accepted into Stanislaus State's program and have decided to go there instead. Congrats to everyone who got in, hopefully one day we'll see each other on the floor! All the best. ?

I’m exactly the same. #23, here. I was extremely hopeful since 39 alternates got through in the fall, so it’s disappointing to see only 15-18 are likely for spring.
oh well. I’m going to work on getting a few more points with volunteering and try again next semester.

@Jiangjane per the email, alternate numbers won’t change. They’ll immediately email the next person when a seat is available. But to know what number alternate that they are on now, we’d either have to hear from the person themselves that they were selected, or email to ask for an update. Perhaps they’ll update the website to show what alternate they are on like they did for fall. As of right now, that information is not on the website for spring.
