Sacramento State Spring 2020

Published

Hello!

I know I am early starting this but I have my eye on applying for the spring 2020 semester and thought I’d start this to help each other through the application process! Please feel free to ask questions, (I know I have many!) about any part of the application process.

Curious if anyone on standby has heard anything back? I’m hoping since the acceptance period and verifications have ended they’ll be sending emails soonish. I’m low enough on the list to have high hopes for a spot ??

I spoke to Heidi on the phone yesterday about my application plans for next semester, and asked if she happened to know what alternate they were on now. She said no alternates have been or will be admitted until the deadline for those accepted to do their intent to enroll has passed, which today.

Then with thanksgiving tomorrow and the weekend, I would assume the alternates will begin getting notified Monday at the earliest.

A friendly reminder to anyone who intends to reapply next semsester in the event you don't get in this semsester and won't be taking classes at CSUS in Spring 2020, the deadline to apply to the university for Fall 2020 is tomorrow.

** Heads up! if you are a continuing student at sac state and are planning to take a semester off and want to apply for fall 2020 you do NOT need to submit another application for the university, just apply to the program as you would.

Hey guys! You’re all so close to decision time!!! I wish you the best of luck. I will be completing my first semester here at CSUS SON in a few weeks, and I truly hope you all get in.

I can only speak from my own experience and this semester, but to answer the question about schedules: no one will have clinical, lab meetings, or lecture on weekends. Weekdays will be busy depending on which schedule you get (there are 2, the cohort is split 40/40 and each group has slightly different schedules) but weekends are typically for studying and completing assignments only. Again, that’s what I understand from the first semester this Fall 2019.

good luck all!!!!! See you soon around Folsom Hall hopefully ?

Hi!! Was wondering about how long you are on campus for? because I'm thinking of just commuting everyday (about 40min-1hr each way) but don't know if it would be too straining in regards to workload. Also was wondering how strict are the staff/clinical settings in regards to tattoos

I currently commute 30-40 minutes and I know people in my cohort that drive much further, so I think it is manageable! How full your days are will again depend on the schedule you get. You should be receiving an email pretty soon that I think will help you gauge what you may be expecting as far as schedule goes. You won’t know for sure until you are emailed your assigned section. As far as clinical and tattoos, it depends (of course! Haha) but usually they will have you cover your body with underclothing if you have visible tattoos.

thanks so much! do you know if we're able to use bandages to cover them up if you can't with clothing?

So I see the site has been updated today and they are on alt #6. I am alt #7! I’m panicking. Does anyone know how long they give to reply to alt status?
