Hello!
I know I am early starting this but I have my eye on applying for the spring 2020 semester and thought I’d start this to help each other through the application process! Please feel free to ask questions, (I know I have many!) about any part of the application process.
Hi, everyone!! I applied for Spring 2020, too. Super nervous. I applied for Fall 2019, and it looked like I was going to get in, but a couple of my credits from Sierra didn't transfer to Sac State, so I had to do a summer class and re-apply. Hopefully I have more luck this time. Can't wait to hear some news next week!!

What classes didn’t transfer? I did all my prereqs at Sierra and I would cry if something doesn’t transfer!
The classes that didn't transfer were not classes that mattered for the nursing program. I took Math D my first semester at Sierra because I originally intended to apply for Sierra's nursing program, and that was the only math class that was required. Math D doesn't transfer, but I took Stats my last semester and that one does. The other class that didn't transfer was Chem A, which I took as a refresher before Chem 1A because it had been a while since I took chemistry in high school. Like I said, this wasn't an issue with the nursing program at all...it was a Sac State issue. I thought I had the 60 required transfer credits, but once they reviewed my transcripts and took out the two classes that didn't transfer, I was missing a few. If you haven't received an email from Sac State by now saying that your acceptance has been rescinded, you should be fine!
@lishamhill cool, thanks!
good luck! I think we’re in the final week of waiting at this point!
Hey guys! You’re all so close to decision time!!! I wish you the best of luck. I will be completing my first semester here at CSUS SON in a few weeks, and I truly hope you all get in.
I can only speak from my own experience and this semester, but to answer the question about schedules: no one will have clinical, lab meetings, or lecture on weekends. Weekdays will be busy depending on which schedule you get (there are 2, the cohort is split 40/40 and each group has slightly different schedules) but weekends are typically for studying and completing assignments only. Again, that’s what I understand from the first semester this Fall 2019.
good luck all!!!!! See you soon around Folsom Hall hopefully ?

If you didn't hear back on November 6th, you are in the top 155. IF that is the case, you will hear exactly what number you are after 5pm November 22nd.
