Hello everyone!
I'm new to this website and I'm planning on applying for Spring 2016. I know we still have a couple months before the application opens but I'm anxious! I've been looking forward to applying and can't wait to get going. Anyone else applying for next spring?
Thanks!
dianah, thank you for the reminder. I somehow missed that; my bad.
Zygo, could you please email me at [email protected]? I'd like to have your email address.
Thanks!
Monday 5pm you guys!
I also have a question though if anybody has any info: when are second bachelor's students supposed to apply to the university? And does anybody know the "rules" foe the immunizations? Is it okay if we get them done now? I only have a week or so to get everything done before I'm off to Europe before hell I mean the adventure begins :)

Not sure about the second bachelor's, but here's the link to what someone posted previously. It has a little bit of info regarding immunizations.
Good luck everyone!!
Oh, yes, I saw that link! I actually found a more recent one from the Fall 2015 application semester: http://www.csus.edu/hhs/nrs/programs/undergraduate/traditional/orientation/docs/2015_fall_pre-entry_checklist_rev6-15-15.pdf
It doesn't give specific information about immunizations, though; it says to go to certifiedbackground.com for instructions (and we can't access it until we've made an account) but doesn't say which immunizations we will need to get or how soon in advance we can get them done. :/ Hoping any current students or alumni could shed some insight
OH, I just found this after some Googling:
It looks like it's the instructions for certifiedbackground, but the sign-up code I'm guessing will be different, but it lists the required immunizations! Hope that is helpful for others too!
About the immunizations, I would call the school of nursing and explain your situation. They'll probably be lenient if there's any conflicts. Otherwise, yes, you can get them done now. If you have documentation of any past immunizations (MMR, Hep B, Tdap/booster, varicella, flu shot, or a TB test w/in the last year [e.g. 2 step skin test, or a QuantiFERON gold blood test]), scan those now and have them ready to submit when the school of nursing asks you to. If you've been vaccinated for a disease, but don't have documentation, you're probably still producing antibodies for them, so I'd ask your physician for a blood titer to test for those antibodies. If you haven't been vaccinated for any of those diseases, do so ASAP, and have the documents proving you've received the vaccines scanned and ready to be sent when the school of nursing asks. This is my experience with the immunizations. It's a lot of hoops to jump through, but what hasn't been up to this point?
"Admission decisions and complete evaluations will be emailed after 5 p.m., Monday, November 23, 2015." Is anyone else a combination of super nervous and very excited:bored:!? Two questions:
Does anyone know what the schedule for the first semester is like; and I'm just curious, but what are everyone's backup plans if they aren't admitted?

Here's a link from the website that lists the class schedule for the entire program: http://www.csus.edu/HHS/nrs/programs/undergraduate/traditional/Docs/important_info_bsn_app_8-31-15.pdf
And if I'm not admitted I'll probably reapply in the fall.
Reapply! Can't do much else besides that. Maybe retake Teas to try to increase the score? Most likely we'll be busy Monday through Thursday, all day. I have coworkers currently in the program and they work Friday through Sunday, leaving only Monday to Thursday for classes. Oh by the way, is anyone planning to work during nursing school at sac state? I was thinking of working maybe two days per week but I'm not sure about the classwork amount yet.

I have to say I'm glad that we'll have the decision before next Friday. Fewer days to stress out. :) I keep replaying my application in my head and I'm worried that I overlooked something. But, it's too late to do anything about it now. Good luck to everyone!!

Here is the link to the AP credit tests, GE areas and equivalencies: Transfer Admission - Sacramento State Catalog
It looks like you should be fine with your score. I wouldn't worry about it.
