FYI: results just updated in the portal (for MSN)! Does anyone know how you would go about/if it's possible to defer enrollment by one year for an MSN program***

Hey guys, is this thread only for ABSN or all MSN program applications? I applied for the PMHNP track. The website indicates that for full-time Summer start we should hear back by mid-February at the latest. But I've read on former years threads that we could hear back much earlier than that? Also has anyone heard about interviews or lack thereof for PMHNP applicants? Thank you, and good luck to everyone!

I'm sorry to hear that you won't be joining us this semester :/. However, I think you'll definitely get in next semester with 83 points. This semesters cut off was probably a 79 or even a 78 (of course this is speculation, but the point-cutoff history indicates an increase of 1 or 2 points per semester). And if anything there's always an alternate list. Best of luck with finances and the upcoming new year :)!

So to put this into perspective. A 3.7 would get you 30/50 points and a 88% on the TEAS would get you 27/50 points. This puts you at 57/100 points. The actual total is out of 112 counting the extra categories: for passing a bilingual test, volunteer/work experience in healthcare, having a disadvantaged background (high-school), and having a disadvantaged economic background (welfare). Each of these give you 3 extra points. This is all spelled out on the Nursing website. Go to Traditional BSN and then click on "Selection Criteria". The point cutoff was 76 points for the class of Fall 2015 and was likely 78 or 79 points for this application cycle (and has a history of increasing 1 or 2 points per cycle). This is all outline under "Application Pool Statistics." You wouldn't even be close with a 57 :/. Try and go for at least a 3.9, giving you 43/50 points. And 93% giving you 37/50 equaling a total of 80 points (keep in mind that this likely going to be the cutoff in this upcoming application cycle for Fall 2016). Also volunteer! (It's an easy extra 3 points). Hopefully this is helpful :).

Hi everyone! I'm sure everyone is plenty busy completing the Pre-Entry Checklist, but I have a quick question. How exactly do clinical's work as far as placement? Do we rotate hospitals each semester/year? Or do we stay at the same facility and go through the different floors (if so how often do we change units)? Also do we stay with the same people (our cohort) throughout nursing school or do these change as well? Thank you in advance :)!

I'm pretty sure this is the case because I can't seem to find any course's called "CPR for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider." "BLS for Healthcare Providers" is the only one that seems to be available.

Has anyone already completed, or scheduled their CPR certification training course? If you have which one are you taking (American Heart Association, BLS for Healthcare Providers, or the CPR for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider course by the Red Cross)?

So if you search for the exact name it automatically searches in Top if you change it to search under More > Groups it should pop up.

Two questions: Does anyone know what the schedule for the first semester is like; and I'm just curious, but what are everyone's backup plans if they aren't admitted?
