Sacramento State Spring 2016 Application

Published

Hello everyone!

I'm new to this website and I'm planning on applying for Spring 2016. I know we still have a couple months before the application opens but I'm anxious! I've been looking forward to applying and can't wait to get going. Anyone else applying for next spring?

Thanks!

So for second bachelors students, we're not required to attend the CSUS transfer orientation, but I remember reading in the application instructions that we'll have to attend a meeting on the Wednesday before instruction begins, so I planned a trip in the month between semesters and won't be back until the Monday before that Wednesday... will that give me enough time to get everything done or will I need to land in a bit earlier? Do we need to get anything else settled beside the vaccines?

Janechon,

Here is a checklist for a previous cohort: http://www.csus.edu/hhs/nrs/programs/undergraduate/traditional/Docs/2013_fall_pre-entry_checklist.pdf

It will give you an idea of what needs to be completed before we start..

The list Jl0202 provided is similar to what our cohort received. There are a few differences, but it's not anything to worry about now. I'd just take care of the vaccines. If you don't have documentation, you'll need to get a blood titer done. If you're accepted, the School of Nursing will send you information about when you need to have all of that done, which will likely be sometime before the start of the semester. If you're confident you'll get in, you probably want to start thinking about that now.

Edit: Also, the company we buy uniforms from has changed from that on the link above. The current uniforms are way more comfy!

Did anyone make the first cut, but get waitlisted for acceptance into the university?

Wow, thanks so much for that link!!

Hi all,

I'm new to this thread but am in the same boat as many of you--waiting for the email. : ) Based on my points, I expect to get in but we'll see!

My main question is what you all are doing about housing! Do most of you already have housing in the area? Who will be looking for housing? I'm looking into some options with people I know, but would be open to exploring a shared apartment with other new nursing students or something.

If there are others of you who are in the same boat as me, then maybe we can exchange email addresses or something (I don't have Facebook, haha....but I could get it if it's our only option for communicating).

Thanks!!! And good luck to you all!

Hello!

I've been following this thread for a while and just haven't gotten around to posting until now. I'm waiting for the official decision as well but I feel pretty safe since the last e-mail that went out (If I calculated correctly, I should have 82 points). I was also accepted into CSULB but I'm leaning toward CSUS if I get in because I like the area better and the program is shorter without taking summer. Since I currently live in Fresno, I'll be looking for housing as well. I don't know anybody in Sacramento. Hopefully I don't get a ton of spam from this but my e-mail is [email protected]

Good luck everyone!

I already live in the general area, so housing isn't going to be a concern for me. However, if anyone lives near Roseville, should I get in, I would definitely be interested in carpooling. :D

Great! Coolmommy99, unfortunately I don't plan on being in the Roseville area.

Msjmichelle, I will email you.

How about the rest of you? Do you have housing needs?

Thank you.

I definitely need housing too! Since we can't talk about that here, I was planning on making a facebook page once we find out we are in! With the facebook page we can talk about all the options and sort it out more easily :)

Hi,

I was wondering if receiving a score of 3 on the AP English Literature exam would qualify for my written communication (A2) course. It's been bugging me because I never verified it! I Would hate to find out on the 27th I got declined because it wouldn't count!
