Hi everyone,
My name is Daniel and I just wanted to create this thread so everyone applying to Sac State can share their scores and post any questions they may have.
Ill start!
Pre +Co requisite GPA: 3.92
TEAS Score: 88.0%
Optional Criteria: 6
Overall app score: 78
I am planning to retake the TEAS exam in order to, hopefully, get a higher score!
Hi. I would just like to clarify because my anxiety is getting to me. I have 80 points for this Fall. If they said applicant #80 had 79 points, then does that technically mean I'm in?
Also, last year the cut off score ended up being the number of points applicant #120 had, if that makes sense. So the cutoff most likely will be 75 this cohort!
how hard would the first semester be if I still had to do the human development corequisite?
Arduous, I imagine. During a BSN advising session last year, the speaker commented that although 12 units (during the first semester) doesn't look difficult, it would feel like 24 units -- similar to taking summer classes.

I think it would be best to take it during the summer so you won't have the distraction of an additional class during the first semester. It is a busy one, and that semester in particular, it is suggested you dedicate your time strictly to your nursing classes. I took mine online at Foothill College. They are on the quarter system, but during the summer they have two six-week sessions. The class is Psychology 40 at Foothill, but they may not offer it during the summer. we are lucky that with the junior college system in CA is that you can take an online class at any other the many schools in the state and take advantage of the lower fees.
I'm looking forward to meeting all of you at the nursing orientation at the end of August!

I took the same class at Foothill as well! Just thought that was an interesting coincidence I also recommend taking it at Foothill if possible, the workload wasn't too bad and the professor was super nice.
does Foothill usually offer the developmental psych class online over the summer?
I am not really sure. I took mine during winter., but I don't think they have their summer schedule up yet. There has to be a JC offering it this summer though. Go to this website for a listing of all of all the colleges: College Alphabetic Listing. Good luck!
To follow up my question earlier in this thread about "in progress" courses being listed on transcripts to the school of nursing, I received the following reply in an email,
Transcripts for in-progress coursework are preferred, but not required. If you are selected for admission, you will need to provide transcripts with final grades for your prerequisite and corequisite coursework by a specific deadline provided with your orientation materials.
