Sacramento State (CSUS) Fall 2015 applications

Published

Hi everyone,

My name is Daniel and I just wanted to create this thread so everyone applying to Sac State can share their scores and post any questions they may have.

Ill start!

Pre +Co requisite GPA: 3.92

TEAS Score: 88.0%

Optional Criteria: 6

Overall app score: 78

I am planning to retake the TEAS exam in order to, hopefully, get a higher score!

If I want to hand deliver the ITE and other document to Folsom Hall, Room 1002, nursing lobby mail slot. Will Folsom Hall still be open after 6:30 pm? Is it just a drop box ?

I found on CSUS Nursing website: Office Hours Monday-Friday 9am-4pm Does that mean no drop off after 4 pm?

thanks

The front door of the hall should be open. I am not really sure when that closes, but the box in the nursing office is behind a locked door after hours. I have gone there after it was locked and the security guard unlocked the door so I could go over to the drop box to put my envelope in. Taking your chances, but if you find someone, I am sure they would let you in if you asked.

I was selected as alternate #18 for fall at sac state, I am really hoping that I will still get in! I was wondering if those of you that got offered a spot could tell me when you have to accept or decline your admission? Thanks!

what do you mean "Co and Prerequisite" ? how did you prepare your GPA courses and is that for all your general education courses or just main nursing related courses such as anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and nursing major courses ?

What is your suggestion to a preparing student like me to prepare TEAS and GPA? Thank you for your patience and sincere help.

OK. Thanks. I am going tomorrow at about 6pm. Hopefully the hall is not locked... :woot: :D

In the instructions for HealthStream Online, did anyone notice the phrase "After successful completion of the 4 modules, Sac State students will need to hit the ‘printer icon' and send hard copy of their ‘transcript' of all four modules and Mangus." ?

What is Mangus? lol

I was wondering that too. Did anyone else have trouble getting the four modules we need to take to show up after hitting the search button? Nothing came up for me, so I searched for the HIPAA course and took it. I hope it was the right one.

I also had to add the modules manually, although I added all 4 not just HIPAA. The 4 modules mentioned in the instructions are Rapid Regulatory Compliance: Clinical I, Rapid Regulatory Compliance: Clinical II, Hazardous Communication, and HIPAA. I was able to search for each and add them that way.

So at least I got them completed. I just wish I knew what Mangus is. I think I'll just call the HealthStream customer service # to see if they have any idea :)

It looks like the email that was sent and the instructions in the PDF attached to that email don't jive completely. I guess I got a little ahead of myself with doing all 4 modules already since only the HIPAA module needed to be done by May 7 (according to the email). But the PDF explained that we should do all 4 and then print out and send a hard copy of the transcript, so that's where my confusion came from I suppose.

Anyway, the hold music was driving me nuts so I figured I'll just send what I have and hopefully we'll all find out what Mangus is when they send us more info towards the end of the month

Did we need to send anything about our HIPAA module? 😳 the email said no need to send in HealthStream documentation right now, just to do the module and sign that paper after we do it.

After hitting search. Change the result to 250 per page. instead of showing 25 per page.

then you will have all the modules available from the website..

Press computer keys CTrl and F at the same time. Now you can search the name of the module you want by typing the name of the module in the tiny searching box that pops up. hope it helps

BTW, I finished 4 modules in about 4 hours with quizzes at the end of each module
