Sacramento State (CSUS) Fall 2015 applications

Published

Hi everyone,

My name is Daniel and I just wanted to create this thread so everyone applying to Sac State can share their scores and post any questions they may have.

Ill start!

Pre +Co requisite GPA: 3.92

TEAS Score: 88.0%

Optional Criteria: 6

Overall app score: 78

I am planning to retake the TEAS exam in order to, hopefully, get a higher score!

Congrats to everyone who got it!

I'm waitlisted. Which I don't mind, cuz they go down the list a bit, however, I'm #75 so don't think I have a chance to become accepted later on.

Don't give up hopes !

I'm in as well, congrats everyone! Can't wait to meet everyone.

I'm in too! See you all at Orientation in June :) Good luck to those on the wait list. I'm really looking forward to finally starting the whole adventure of nursing school this Fall!

Ditto for those on the wait list!!!

For those of us who are second bachelor's candidates, we will catch up with you in August. We don't have to do the orientation, which is fine by me. At least that was what I read somewhere. Please correct me if I am wrong!

So I had 80 points and I was denied for "not" being a California resident. (Which I am) I could call and have them correct this issue but I am planning on going to CSULB so I'll just let it as is. Still, would've been nice to see an acceptance emaill:( lol

I hear you, but congrats on getting into CSULB, anyways. I'm excited to start the next chapter this fall, and to meet everyone this June.

Hello! Congratulations to all of us who got in! This is a blessing!

Sacramento State University's NCLEX passing rate has been around 97-98% in the past six consecutive years (2008-2014). Impressive!

This is the reason why SacState has always been my first choice!

Please check out this link: Board of Registered Nursing - NCLEX Pass Rates. Honestly though, I am so torn right now between CSU Long Beach and SacState. Any thoughts? :(

Fall 2015 cohort/BSN family, I just created a Facebook page for us. Please look it up! "Sacramento State University (BSN): Fall 2015"

SacState's BSN alumni, what do you think are the significant factors that have contributed to the university's consistently high NCLEX passing rate (97-98%)?

To those who did not get in, cheer up! Please don't lose hope. Everything has its own perfect time and place! Keep praying. :)

I had a similar situation with my 3rd choice program, but its all worked out in the end. And CSULB is a great program so congrats to you for getting in! :) Now lets all go rip it up in Nursing School and become awesome nurses :yeah:

Quick question, the e-mail stresses that the orientation we need to go to as transfer nursing majors is June 17th. However, when I go to sign up for it, the only dates it will let me sign up for are the 11, 12, or 22nd. They're all labeled transfer orientation and are under my major. Are you guys having the same problem? Should I just sign up for the day that works best for me instead?

I think the School of Nursing may need to change something in our status (marking us as Admitted Majors perhaps) to allow us to register for June 17th. The list of Orientation dates here: Dates shows that Nursing "Admitted majors only" students can register for June 17th and that Nursing "Expressed Interest" students can register for June 9, 11, 12, or 22.

If anyone knows something different, please chime in. At this point, I'm not going to register for those other dates and hopefully the 17th will become available soon.

Actually, it looks like they answered that question in the email sent out yesterday:

"Mark your calendar to attend mandatory University orientation on Wednesday, June 17, 2015,Transfer Orientation. Watch your email for your invitation from the orientation office! The invitation will be sent to the email address you provided on your nursing application and also to your My Sac State, Message Center."

So it looks like we'll be getting an invite to register for the June 17th orientation :)

Hi all!

Do any of you know what the typical class schedule is for the first semester? Or would any Sac State nursing student be willing to share their schedule?
