Hi All!
I'm currently applying for Sac state nursing fall 2014 as a transfer student. I'll have approximately 72 pts by the time of application. I cant wait for april/may to hear the results!
Interested in hearing about your experiences!
According to the email I got from cstan, the deadline for your intent to enroll for the nursing program is 4/11, but the deadline for the intent to enroll for the university is 5/1 and requires a $200 deposit. Luckily there is no fee associated with the nursing program's intent to enroll, so I won't have to forfeit any money if sac lets us know on time.
They really are cutting it close! If I get admitted to sac after the 5/1 deadline then I'm out the $200 for cstan. I'm sure they're aware of situations like that though, so hopefully we'll find out by 4/30.
Ugh, I feel like I got punched in the stomach. I'm not even close to being an alternate . I'm thinking the best way for me to boost score for next semester is to volunteer at a hospital. Unfortunately, it appears that a lot of hospitals don't allow volunteers to interact with patients. What exactly does Sac State want in terms of health care experience? Do you think CNA training (with clinical hours) would qualify for that? If so, I'm definitely going to sign up for a local CNA program.
