SAC nursing program fall 2011

Has anyone been accepted to SAC Nursing Program (Fall2011) already? If so, post so we can wait together. So nervous.. I already applied and I am waiting to see If I have been accepted...I did look up threads about SAC and I have read its pros and cons..Good luck to everyone.

I received the notice too but still no postcard it's been 4 weeks and I am getting very impatient! :mad:

Yes, I too got the email indicating to turn in our postcard from BON as soon as we received it.

When I turned in my packet, I asked about how long we should expect to get info back from BON, ...and was told that there was a "glitch" (as someone also posted earlier) ...and that not ALL of our names/info had initially been sent to BON, ..in fact..only a small # of the 210 apps.

...so, they said that it would be taking longer than normal...for us to get this info back, ...given that info, I don't think they are gonna hold us students to some strict deadline for getting that info in on a certain time. ...so I wouldn't "hold my breath" in anticipation/waiting.

Also, this time of year...the BON is obviously processing applicants from many different schools across TX...likely some back up there.

The background info is important, and that is why most (if not all) schools are requiring students to submit their info prior to starting school...instead of near graduation....as used to be done. They don't want anymore students going all the way through school...then finding out there could be something in criminal background to keep them form taking exam for license.

From what I've read, the cleared backgound must be available by the time a student is starting clinicals, so..we have some time here...and they know that. ...don't think there is anything for us to be overly concerned about...these mixups,glitches, disorganization, waiting...seems to be fairly normal.:cool:

But still, anyone that gets their info back, please let the rest of us know, so we have some sorta idea...

Hmmm...I didn't receive this email ya'll are talking about...I hope that isn't a bad thing...now I'm going to have to call to make sure I'm still good to go. The only email I received was an email about my personal info being compromised during the send out of some list...I may have to go back and read it again...

Just checked my mail and I got my post card as well...Its going in the mail first thing in the morning via Fed Ex!!! Hope all is well with everyone...

I still have not received anything! Did you' all complete the fingerprints right after the acceptance letter? I waited one week. I hope that's the reason..Congrats to everyone..good luck!! Hope to meet everyone soon!!

I did my fingerprints the Wed. after we got our acceptance letters..it a little over 5 weeks for me to get my card! Hope you get it soon

Thank you Noelle, I hope I get my soon too. Was it a blue postcard or did it come in a envelope? Is it a big postcard?
