  1. I do have friends that are working full time but it is very hard for them.. as for the schedule I go at night so I am there M Tues 4-8 Tuesday night I have to go to the hospital and pick my patient and get all of their info (takes a couple of hours) then go home and make their careplan (also a couple of hours) then wed thursday I am at clinical from 4- 9. Now you won't have to go to the hospital on Tuesdays until you get into Commons but you should be studying a lot for foundations.. So if you have to work full time I know it is doable but if you can afford not to I would say try going part time! Hope that helps!!
  2. Clinicals were great. There were some less than helpful nurses on the floor but there were also some really great ones and we actually became like part of the family for the time we were there. One of the unit clerks would even give us candy if we were on his floor! It can be intimidating first working with the patients but it gets easier. I was sad when our last day came.
  3. Congratulations to everyone that got in! I just finished my first flex in the program and it was a bit crazy so I thought I would give you all some advice! Read before class starts and make notes on everything! All the little boxes in the chapter count! Find a good study group and put it to use trust me you will be each others sanity! Finally don't forget to have a little fun. After our final a bunch of us went to Luther's across the street and had a beer to celebrate getting through the first class! Get ready for a whole new world!
  4. my letter did say Tuesday...
  5. I got the email today too telling me to come for registration on July 27th yay!
  6. No envelope just a regular sized blue postcard
  7. I did my fingerprints the Wed. after we got our acceptance letters..it a little over 5 weeks for me to get my card! Hope you get it soon
  8. Got mine too finally!!! I went and turned it in right away!
  9. I received the notice too but still no postcard it's been 4 weeks and I am getting very impatient!
  10. Well the fingerprint place faxed me a copy of my receipt and I was able to turn in my packet! Now I just have to wait for that little blue postcard
  11. Ok I am freaking out because I tried to take my packet in and they wouldn't take it because I don't have the receipt from the background check but I didn't think I would need it because I thought the postcard would be here by now! I don't know what to do I can't find the fast pass anywhere!
  12. I did my fingerprinting two weeks ago and still have not received my postcard, that is also the only thing holding up my packet. The hospital orientation quiz was actually really easy I took it today
  13. I got in! I found out awhile ago but I have been busy trying to get everything done before the June 1st deadline! Congrats to everyone who made it!
  14. I have private health insurance so I don't have to worry about getting the student one, but I know what you mean about the little expenses,,,they are quickly adding up on me!
  15. Ok so all I need is to redo my TB skin test and flu shot which I will do tomorrow. Then I just have to wait for that post card in the mail. For those of you who need your flu shot the metrohealth clinic downtown is doing them for free right now
