Hey guys ! Went today to ask about background postcards and they said as long as you turn in the signed fast pass you should be fine. Apparently their was a glitch on their end so more than likely as won't receive cards till after the deadline!

I went to take my hospital orientation quiz today too - pretty easy. Here's to hoping we have more quizzes that are that easy in the next couple of years!!

Has anyone heard if they will be using the same editions of books for the fall that were used this past spring? I'm hoping to get my books cheaper, and the more advance notice I can get to do that, the better. I wish this whole process was a little more organized, I wouldn't have known to look on the announcements part of the Nursing website about the hospital orientation quiz..I learned about it from someone posting on here! It's starting to seem like you have to be pretty on top of things, since the school is a little lacking on the information side...

Ok I am freaking out because I tried to take my packet in and they wouldn't take it because I don't have the receipt from the background check but I didn't think I would need it because I thought the postcard would be here by now! I don't know what to do I can't find the fast pass anywhere!

Hi Noelle, I'm so sorry to hear that. Try to go back to the location where you got your fingerprints and see if they can give you a copy or another receipt. I wish you luck in also finding your receipt..don't stress out, think positive! You will find it in time, don't worry. Best of luck!

Maybe you could reprint the fastpass form from the acceptance email and get someone to sign it at the fingerprint place? Or did you check the fastpass website for some type of proof of payment that you could print out? Hope you are able to get something, good luck! Fingers crossed that it works out..

Well the fingerprint place faxed me a copy of my receipt and I was able to turn in my packet! :yeah: Now I just have to wait for that little blue postcard :uhoh3:

Howdy All!! :nurse:

My dearest best friend was also accepted and he found out May 31st and was able to turn in his packet on June 1st.. so proud of him!! yay!! :ancong!:...now to see what flex we start in!

We were at SAC (aka..HOME) all day yesterday having to mess with financial aid and loan drama and we decided to TRY and find someone that could give us an idea of what the first semester would cost. We were sent to admissions, business office... to nursing dept... and back to business office.. NO ONE could give us anything solid to work with. (amazing :bugeyes: )

...so we trek'd back to nursing dept.. by this time it was about 5:30 pm and its ghost town up there... we roamed the halls to see if we saw a live one.. and YES ..we did! we nearly tackled the poor soul to the floor and held on to her legs for dear life. LOL ..well she was too kind to be cooperative and informed us that uniforms MAY or MAY NOT change this fall... she stated not to go out and buy any scrubs just yet and to periodically check the announcement on SAC Nursing Home page. She said the ball park for first semester is ABOUT $2500-$3000 buck-a-roos. I need to make sure i have PLAN A,B & C by August 1st when tuition is due. (per packet) :grn:

..sigh... after all that running around we smelled like BACON!! ..and retreated to the nearest cantina for some much needed refreshments!!! LOL :cheers:

Both of us decided to drive the area to scope any potential resting/napping/late study halls besides the school. Anyone know what time they close and lock the doors to the nursing building? I noticed lots of sofa's and tables but I'm thinking it could be a possible distraction when needing to cram for tests, etc. :specs:

Well thats all I have for now and look fwd to seeing everyone at registration and orientation!! :anpom:

Hey guys!! Hope everyone is doing great. Did anyone receive an email regarding the BON postcard? I received one two days ago. it was nothing bad just saying that as soon as I receive it, to please turn it in ASAP..has anyone received it yet? Good luck to everyone. I hope to meet everyone soon..

Ive still been patiently waiting..but as of today I still havent gotten the card! Do we have to turn it in..in person? I live 4 hours away in the valley... :uhoh21:
