Just Great!!! After calling all day Monday, Tuesday and Today..I was told that I was part of the glitch..thats is the reason why I havent received my BON postcard..I had to call the DPS dept, fingerprint comp..nursing dept and finally the BON dept..They FORGOT:mad: to mail me a letter stating that I have a postive incident on file... :confused: I have no idea what it is!! Thats the least of my worries, but what irritates me is that they could have called to let me know or try to contact me somehow..The person I spoke to was very kind, but could not explain why it was never mailed to me. Now, I have to wait for them to mail me a letter and I have to go through the declartory process..who knows how long that is going to take. Anyone knows? I guess its my fault for not calling earlier..The only thing I can think of, its a traffic ticket..other than that, I am no criminal..lol.. :lol2: I am so thankful for everyone posting. If it weren't for you guys, I would have never known about the postcard that everyone has received already. So, THANK YOU EVERYONE!!! Before I was using my phone to check messages and I wasnt able to read all messages. I finally bought a new computer today and I am able to read the messages on a daily basis..:) Sorry, for the long post..Again, thanks everyone for posting and congratulations....Hope to meet everyone soon..OH,one more thing...I have the worst luck..They also forgot in the nursing dept. to email me my official acceptance letter... :idea: They also couldnt explain why it wasnt emailed...I tell ya!! So if you guys havent heard anything..CALL!! I will see everyone on July 27th... CONGRATS!!! have a great night!!!

Howdy all!!

i couldn't sleep so I caught up on everyone's posts.. Congrats to all and I'm sure everyone is getting excited as I am! ...altho it may be short lived after all the chaos actually begins! LOL

Sacstudent: how is the declatory order coming along? :confused: ..were you able to get all the background info in to submit to BON? I hope it all works out!

....so uhm.... shall we wear some kind of name tag with our handle/username so we can meet? ..or maybe all meet for lunch after registration? Im up for anything and looking forward to becoming great friends & study buddies!!

I would love to have some study buddies also. I hear the program is very challenging! So did everyone get their official acceptance letter/e-mail? I am excited to start the program but after looking through the Nursing Student Handbook it seems like a lot to remember. More chaos!

Hi BioBr8kn, No I have not been able to submit anything to the BON. I have to drive back home and get all the documents that BON is asking for. Its either that or wait another 5 days to receive by mail.. :mad: I barely recieved the declaratory letter from the BON on Monday. Patience is a virtue....only to wait and see...On a second note, I love the idea in getting together to study..sounds awesome..Hey, more brains work better than one..lol...Hope to meet everyone on the 27th..Have a great one...:)

this information only applies to the new incoming students.
the student uniform starting fall 2011 flex i will be:
royal blue scrub top
black scrub pants
shoes black
black warm up jacket (optional)
tshirt black (optional)
lab coat white (optional)
school patches must be sewn on. location for patches can be found in the nursing student handbook. this information replaces the information on uniforms currently in the nursing student handbook

I received this email sometime last week, so it looks like the correct day is Wednesday.

"Hello Flex I Nursing Students,

The letter you all received on June 23, had the incorrect registration day. The correct day is Wednesday July 27, 2011."

So I'm curious, since tomorrow is registration...who is wanting morning classes and who is wanting afternoon/evening? I am really hoping to get afternoon classes so I can still keep my current job in some way..

What about everyone else?

I will be taking morning classes, but I will be going to FlexII afterall... :crying2: and it wasnt even my fault..Nursing School is better than nothing..How many classes were allowed to register for Flex I? Anyone else going to Flex II? For Flex II we were allowed to register for only 2 classes. Have a great weekend everyone..:)

yes its definitely better than nothing thats for sure! i have 3 friends starting in flex ii. :yeah:

i will be in flex i along with two other friends which is cool! we were able to sign up for morning classes.. 2 for flex i and 2 for flex ii. we also signed up for an additional online course to make it a full time schedule... totally bites but elem spanish was uhmm (cough cough) not too threatening. lol

was anyone there on wed morning and shocked at the chaos? ..we got there at 6:30 am and there was already a line. once they opened the doors and we signed in... the one girl assisting everyone kept saying to just "write" down the course #.. yet as we sat there the classes were disappearing! ... we finally asked about it and then they said "oh yeah.. go ahead and register" ... omg... seriously!! i barely ...barely got into a day class! from what i heard all the day classes for flex i were closed by 8:30 am. it was like black friday at best buy!! :bugeyes:

now ... for orientation & shopping! :w00t:

fyi... there is a medtex uniform place on stone oak and 1604 and the owner is awesome and very helpful.. his prices were actually cheaper than other places. so if you can stop buy and have a look. also... www.allheart.com is a website for supplies and crazy cheap!!!
