So i went to take the test at 2pm today. I went in there with confidence that I WILL pass this test. I took it in an hour and 20 minutes and when I hit 75 the BLUE SCREEN came up. I am SCARED! I feel as though I needed more questions to prove myself. I had about 10 Med's, 6-7 SATA, 2 med calcs. I mean i felt as though the questions were easy. I mainly studied KAPLAN and I thought Kaplan questions were way harder. I had like no curve balls like whatsoever except for meds but the questions about diseases were diseases I actually knew. When I left I didnt feel like I failed but I do not know if i def passed either. It can go either way, i either did really good or extremely bad! I know I got some right, but I feel as though the questions were extremely easy and that worries me. LIke did it shut off because I wasnt getting any questions right? Great, these 2 days are going to be HELL!! I will just keep praying these next 2 days until then I am crackin open alot and I mean alot of BEER!
I totally understand where you guys are coming from!I took the NCLEX today at 2pm and even though I was praying for the computer to shut off at 75, I was still so nervous when it did! I had a ton of infection control and prioritization, 11 SATA, 1 math. What got me were about 3 questions with meds I had NEVER heard of!!! I was mostly an A student in school, have studied my butt off the past 2 months, and feel like I really know my major drug classes - then I got these questions and was like "WTH!?!" I had no clue and just had to make a decision based on the answer choices. Talk about freak me out!
And now this waiting game SUCKS!
Same for me exactly!!!! I took it yesterday w/ 75? Meds I never heard of, teaching questions that made no sense to me at all (none of the usual interventions), TONS of SATA's, which I stink at - hard, hard questions! Everybody is telling me they are sure I passed cuz I was an A student, yadda, yadda - but I am not sure AT ALL!!! How am I going to make it thru the next 24 hrs??? I feel sick....:barf01:
I just can't get over the number of questions I was completely clueless on. I was a good student (mostly B's). This test was CRAZY!!! None of the "strategies" were working. Tons of meds, probably 5-6 SATA's, lots of teaching (mostly about meds...) and prioritization. Two easy med calc's that I missed...UGH!!! Thank goodness I"m in a quick result state; although unfortunately, I'm not sure the results are going to be positive. If only I was a drinker...=)
I passed, I passed!!
eire1, I felt clueless too. I couldn't imagine that I was that out of it as I had been a mostly B student in NS. I couldn't even remember all the questions I had (my brain did a "dump" as soon as I walked out) but I checked on 2 of the meds I remembered and felt I had those right. I couldn't imagine I hadn't passed with only 75 questions!!
I'll keep you in my thoughts!! Good luck all!!
Congrats, Congrats WDWpixieRN!!! I am sooo happy for you! Send some good vibes my way...I am definitely in need of GOOD VIBES! Weird thing is, the lady at the check-in desk was all sweet when I first got there. Then, when the test was over, it was like she wouldn't meet my eyes. Do they actually know the results immediately? Anyone know the answer to that question????

Thank you so much. I'm sure you did the same!!
I read somewhere that some folks "felt" they knew. I tried to read the gals and just couldn't. They were pretty much all business much as I tried to joke with them. I don't think they have a clue and wouldn't spend too much reading anything in to that.
Listen, I am 52. If this old gal can do it, then you can too!! Don't spend too much time fretting. What's done is done. Think positive as much as you can and try to relax. I look forward to seeing your "I did it" too!!
And be prepared to be the biggest wreck of your life as you go to look up the results. I couldn't think straight to save my life and was probably worse off mentally and physically at that point than anywhere throughout this journey. I still haven't closed the window that shows,
"Grade: pass".
Unbelievable.
I took 75 yesterday and am feeling ill as well. I feel awful about the questions and my answers. I got a LOT of SATA, some priority, lots of meds that I was not familiar with. One math calc. I have been on Pearsonvue all day, but still no results.
I did Saunders and VATI to prepare, but don't think that either of them had the difficulty/complexity that the test had though.
Wait and see, wait and see......

If the state participates in quick results then you can find out on a Sunday but if not then BON's do not usually update over the weekend so may have to wait
