Rutgers Accelerated Nursing- Fall 2015 (Newark)

Wow, seems like no one is applying here or maybe we just have a lot of readers. In any case i hope to apply for the accelerated nursing program for Fall 2015. originally, it was to be Spring 2016 because i haven't finished prereqs but I'm hoping to be done next spring (of 2015) and hoping they extend the deadline. Anyone else?!!

So I literally just got off the phone with the admissions department. They said that the reviews/decisions are coming to a close soon. They are expecting to get the decisions out this week (no specific date) However, he did say that a copy of the letter that is being sent out snail mail will be sent via e-mail as well.

Yeah last week (wed) I emailed the director and told him it's inconvenient to wait on snail mail after it is taking so long and I have another school waiting so he told me he would email me a copy of the letter when the letters are made. The waiting continues. Good luck every one.

As of this morning, they are still "deciding" and they haven't gotten updates from the admissions committee. I would really like to know what in the world is going on over there. This is just a huge let down. I've been reading threads about rutgers so long and couldn't wait to apply but there system already seems hugely flawed.

I just called and spoke to a young girl who said she had no idea when decisions would be made. I explained to her if there was any way of finding out because school starts in

September and it is almost mid-July and she said the committee gives them "minimal information." I am not sure why I received a different answer than others who have called.

I was accepted to Marymount's ABSN program (in Virginia) which starts in late August, but would like to stay in NJ to avoid relocation. Rutgers is really letting so many people down.

I just called and they said the admission committee finished the applications. They are waiting for the names and they will then mail the letters within a few days. They also said they still have not decided if they will also email them.

They havent decided ides of they will email them?! Are you kidding me?!! They are giving so many mixed messages, at this point they better email them because by the time we get the mail it will be so late. Physicals have to be done, financial aid/loans sorted out. They are playing games smh

I just called this morning. Sounds like decisions are in and they're hoping to have them out by the end of the week, via mail. I asked about if they might be emailed as well and the woman said that she hadn't heard much about emailing them but that it was a possiblility. She sounded very sympathetic, so maybe if we keep calling it'll put the pressure on? I don't know. Are we all calling the same phone number ? Seems like everyone is getting a slightly different answer.
