Rutgers Accelerated Nursing- Fall 2015 (Newark)

Wow, seems like no one is applying here or maybe we just have a lot of readers. In any case i hope to apply for the accelerated nursing program for Fall 2015. originally, it was to be Spring 2016 because i haven't finished prereqs but I'm hoping to be done next spring (of 2015) and hoping they extend the deadline. Anyone else?!!

Hmm that's a good question. For the other programs they sent out the acceptance letters first. Then saw who declined and sent out the next round of acceptance letters. Then they sent out the wait list/rejection letters. But Rutgers is so late in getting decisions out, I don't know if they have time for that.

I have called so many times I don't want them to block me lol. Yeah Rutgers has no time for even a wait list. They can't expect us to have our clinical paperwork done which makes me think clinical may not be in the first semester like another program I got into. They do that to keep from issues with doctors from holding anyone back.

I don't think there are clinicals the first semester either. I'm scared to call too lol. I think they know my name, at least one person does.

You do have clinical the first semester. First half of level 1 is spent in skills lab, second half is in the hospital. Don't worry about the paperwork, it's not necessary to have it done by the first day. You can still work on it during those weeks before you hit the hospital.

Does anyone know what the first semester will be like? What are the hours and stuff?

Hours vary. You can browse the different classes online I get an idea. Earliest class seems to start at 8:30am

I called, they said decisions will be mail AND emailed. They wont be sent today but maybe tomorrow.
