Rutgers ABSN Summer 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone,

I wanted to create a post for students who applied to Rutgers summer2021 ABSN program. I am anxiously awaiting a response. I applied in September but had all my documents in around December. I saw in previous post that people submitted their basic life support certificate but I didn't see an option for that.

I graduated with a bachelors in cell and molecular biology recently, I volunteered as an EMT in the past and did research.

my stats are 3.5 GPA

A&P1: A

A&P2: A

Micro: A

Statistics: A

Chem2: B+

Nutrition: A-

lifespan: A

I also took biochem and got a C

I would love to hear about you guys (past and future student). also does anyone know how FAFSA would work for this program since it starts in the Summer, or how do you guys plan to pay?

good luck to you guys!

@JayM log into your application:

https://admissionservices.rutgers.edu/ugrad/returnLogin.htm;jsessionid=EEB405001F579E792913C24B8E633044.jvm1-tc8

Hit "view your status"

Under "Required For Application Review" hit on the "Submit your requested items here." section and submit your BLS certification there.

If you don't they don't even look at your application.

@JayM Just sent in my application too!  Taking my CLEP exam on Friday for Lifespan ... wish me luck.

Keep me posted, and good luck to you!!  Hope to see you in May :)

@Emilio Sta Rosa after I submitted all my transcript I no longer have the option to submit more documents.

@Whit80 good luck to you, Hope you get accepted! I'm nervous but will definitely keep you updated.

Hi Everyone!

I am applying for Summer 2021 as well. To be frank, I believe my chances of acceptance are slim considering my chem II course and nutrition class are currently in progress, but I figured I'd just apply and see what happens. Here are my stats:

undergrad degree GPA: 3.65

A&P1: A

A&P2: A

Micro: A

Statistics: A

Chem2: in progress

Nutrition: in progress

Lifespan: A

Wishing everyone the best and good luck!

Has anyone got a decision yet? I am nervous my undergrad is a 3.334 and my pre reqs is a 3.8 but no healthcare experience because of hospitals not taking volunteers due to covid.

@futur3nurs3 not yet, I feel like we should be hearing back by around next week or so...I hope!

Nothing yet here either!  I've been having issues with my status screen updating to show receipt of one of my transcripts.  It's been 2 weeks and it still says it's missing, and I've had it re-sent a couple times!  So frustrating and making me panic.  Anyone else have similar issues?

@futur3nurs3 I also don't have healthcare experience (not since I last volunteered in college), and ran into the same problem with Covid, so fingers crossed that's not a strike against us ?

I had a similar problem with transcripts, I emailed the admissions office and they were able to help me out.

I saw in previous post that other people submitted their BLS certificate after they got accepted, but others are saying you need to submit it before. I didn't see an option for that on my status screen and after I submitted my transcripts I no longer had the option to submit anything else. did anyone submit theirs yet?

I had the same issue. I opened the link just to see what it would ask and then it disappeared forever. I had to email my BLS certification to the admission office and have them upload it for me. I got a response saying that it was added to my file, but I still don’t see anything in my portal saying that my BLS file is there.
