Hi everyone! I thought it would be good to start a thread for people who are applying to the Rutgers Newark second degree BSN program for Spring 2022. I just started my application now.

Does anyone know where to submit the BLS certificate? The Rutgers second degree BSN website says that we need it before we apply, but there's no place to upload it on the application. Also for CLEP exam scores, do we need to include those anywhere in the application? I'll have my score sent to Rutgers, but not sure if we need to do anything for it in the actual application.

Hello, just submitted my application last night and sent out all my transcripts as well. It doesn't seem like it has a place to submit CLEP exam scores. When you sent your CLEP score, did you send through the predefined list of institutions or you manually entered Rutgers undergraduate admission address? It seems like they send hard copies and I don't want to delay the process.

Hi dmatterp,

Yes, I sent mine through the predefined list! There's no way to check if it was received though, so I hope I did it correctly. You could also send an email to the nursing admissions in a week or so to see if they received it probably. I'm not sure if they'll respond though. Good luck!

Hi, 

Has anyone heard back from the nursing department? I submitted my application mid-august and haven't heard back. I'm just concern because I couldn't upload my personal statement and my transcripts are still pending according to the application page.

Hi all,

I know on the application website, it says that we need to send in proof of enrollment for courses that are in progress but I haven't actually registered for the classes yet (I will be able to do so in mid-October). Does anyone else have this problem or know what I should do in this case?

Hi FuturePlumNP,

I emailed my BLS certificate to the nursing department, and in my email I also asked if they have received my transcripts, and they responded to my email saying that they have. So maybe if you email them a copy of your personal statement and let them know that your transcripts are still pending, then they may respond to you to let you know what you should do. Hope this helps!

Hi val_1219,

Were you able to see on the application portal that the transcripts were received? I sent out mine on Sep 17th and all I can see is my unofficial transcripts. Also, how long did it take for your CLEP score transcript to be processed? I've been calling the school of nursing admissions and undergraduate admissions multiple times and they're not very helpful. 

Also, everyone, the deadline has been extended to Nov 1st. Not sure why but at least it helps for those who are having difficulties submitting their documents.

I actually send my unofficial transcripts through email and they emailed me back as received. I also attached them to the application. I use WES because my bachelor's degree is foreign and according to them it was electronically delivered weeks ago (like over a month ago). Besides that, no changes on the application portal on whether my application is under review or anything. 

I'm wondering with the new deadline extension when would the decision be sent out.

My application status changed to under review last Fri even though they said that they haven't received my official transcripts yet LOL. Not sure when I'll receive a decision.  I'm wondering if the new extension is because of lack of applicants?

Anyone else here submit a Re-Enrollment application & having trouble checking the status of it? It doesn't say if it's pending or anything, whether or not my transcripts are received, or anything like that. It just says Term, College, Major, Decision (which is blank), and a "View" button which doesn't do anything when I click on it. This waiting is killing me, I submitted everything at once on Sept 1 ?

Hi,  I submitted on 9/16. However, my situation is a bit different. After I submitted, the status did not change to "submitted". It stayed as "application started". I had to contact admission to manually update my status and it was updated to "submitted" on 9/28.  And good luck on your application, too.
