Hey! I figured I'd start a thread as I haven't found one for this upcoming semester. Has anyone applied for Rutgers ABSN Spring 2021 start?
I have applied and am currently just waiting on a response. I know I have spoken to someone at the school and they have mentioned that some people have already gotten their decisions.

Curious to know what the process has been for you!
Hey this will be my first time taking out large student loans and have no idea how to properly go about this. I scheduled a meeting with the financial aid office on Thursday. I will pass on any useful info I get.
I just got in. Now I need to make a decision... OCU, Goldfarb, Rutgers or Notre Dame Maryland? Waiting to hear back from Thomas Jefferson too. If anyone has any suggestions or advice on which program is better please feel free to leave a comment, I've done some research but still so torn... I've heard a fair amount of bad and good reviews from all schools.
Hi everyone!
I received an acceptance email to the Newark campus at 11pm! I checked my email before bed and got the surprise LOL
does anyone know if all nursing classes are being held in the Newark campus or if some of the classes are being held in one of the other campuses? I know some nursing schools break up the classes to different campuses which would be too difficult for me in this case since Camden is so far.
I also never submitted my BLS which is something that everyone seemed confused about in prior comments.
Morning everyone.
I didn't apply for the srping 2021 program but will apply for it next year.
I have a concern that my Bachelor's GPA is not really high..
even less than the admission criteria. 3.15/4.0
but Pre requisite GPA :4.0/4.0
would I still have hope to get accepted? :(
Has anyone here accepted with low GPA?

Hey!
I believe you have a really good chance. But you shouldn't just applying to one school. Apply to as many as you can, there will be a school that is more than pleased to have your stats. But I would say your stats is very competitive, given that schools care more about your prerequisite grade.

Stay positive! Admissions staff often want to see improvement in grades and your 4.0 in your prereqs demonstrates that well. @krism is also correct that prereq GPA tend to more heavily weighted than undergrad GPA. Spend a good chunk of time on your essay as well and really dig into why nursing? why you? and why Rutgers? I received some good advice on the first draft of my essay which said that I did a good job of making a case for why Rutgers? and less of a good job about why me? Schools know their strengths, but they don't know you. They also want to see that you know what you're getting into. Good luck!

Hi Lee,
I'm in the same boat as you. My undergrad GPA is 3.2 and my pre req GPA is 4.0. I haven't heard back yet and I'm super nervous, but I will post on here and when I find out. I feel like my chances are slim, but as others said, you have to apply to a lot of schools and hope you get into at least one.

I just got into Camden, my undergrad was only a 2.3 but that was from 20 years ago! I do have a 4.0 in all my pre-reqs though.

Congratulations. I applied to Newark. Camden is way too far for me.
