Rutgers ABSN Spring 2021

Hey! I figured I'd start a thread as I haven't found one for this upcoming semester. Has anyone applied for Rutgers ABSN Spring 2021 start?

I have applied and am currently just waiting on a response. I know I have spoken to someone at the school and they have mentioned that some people have already gotten their decisions. 

Do y’all know when exactly the Spring semester starts?

Undergrad BS, GPA 3.36

Grad MS, GPA 3.91

Prereqs 4.00

The only experience I have is 20 years ago in high school, volunteering at a nursing home.

FYI: the 4-6 week wait begins at the 10/15 deadline for supplementary documents. Just found that out. So technically if your app is submitted by 10/1 and documents by 10/15, you should hear back between 11/12 and 11/26.

Does anyone know if there's some sort of facebook group or another group for those starting in Spring?

I submitted the app on Sept 29th and my BLS on Oct 5th. A couple of my transcripts never arrived, so I had to request them a second time in early October. Interestingly they never showed up on my status page, so I had to confirm via chat with nursing admissions that they were in fact received.

@ecc888 Did you create a Net ID yet?

I'm a little stressed out. I'm taking two pre-req classes right now and it's a lot of work. On top of that there is orientation in Dec when finals start and immunization records that are due by Jan 5th.

A (TB) test requires 2 doctors visits and you have to wait 2 weeks before the second shot.

Guess better get used to multitasking a bunch of different things.

@merc12 Since I went to RU I just use the same netid I used in undergrad. They sent something to merge the accounts but it's a bit confusing and I don't think I did it right so I have to call help desk at some point this week so they can help me out.

And Yeah there's quite a lot of things on the to-do list but maybe set up the first appointment in a way that the second appointment falls right after finals are over. That way you only have to worry about going to one appointment before finals.

Do we have to get the BLS certificate before acceptance? Or its fine if I provide BLS after acceptance?

No it’s OK to get it after
