RPN to RN Bridging

World Canada CA Programs

Hello,

I’m planning to apply for UOIT RPN to RN bridging for 2021 September intake. My current average is 83%. I just want to know if anyone who recently got accepted to UOIT bridging what your average was. Have any of you taken the university courses to upgrade your percentage to get it?

Thank you!

I got in for Sept 2020 with a 89% average, no upgrading.

Congratulation on you acceptance! When did you finish your RPN program? Did you already have your licence when you applied? With two courses remaining I will most likely finish with 85% average overall but I'm not sure if thats going to be enough to get me in.

I think you should be fine, I got in 2016 with low 80s I think.

I finished the RPN program in Dec 2019. I applied in January 2020 without having my license yet as my exam date was in February. I got my license in March 2020, literally 1 day before they sent out the offer. However, you can get a conditional offer pending you pass CPNRE because not everyone has their license at the time of application due to exam windows etc.

I think you have a great chance with that average. Good luck!

Just to clarify, for this program, you need to have done some clinical work hours right to qualify and apply for this program? And think you can upgrade with any additional specialty certificates you have?

You don’t need any work hours to apply, just your license. You can upgrade, it’s best to refer to their website or contact them for concrete information on upgrading qualifications.

Hi! I was waitlisted for this September at UOIT and my average was an 84%...

Hello,

Did you end up getting accepted at the end? If not did you end up getting to another bridging program?

Hey so I’ve heard nothing! I’ve taken that as a no.. I’m assuming soon (or so I’d think) they’ll send the yes or no email? But im assuming If it was a yes I would have gotten an email by now.

I've been proactive and have almost completed a course with athabasca university, to help get my average up. And even enrolled for another one to start next month.. hoping to bring my average up by a few points so I’ll get accepted for next September and then I’ll have two uni electives out of the way ??‍♀️

Hi,

That’s what I’m planning to do also. I’m going to be finishing the program with exact 84% as you so I have no hope of getting in for next September. I’m planning to take some courses to upgrade too. The thing is that I already have university degree so I’m confused as to if I can use some of my university courses to boost my average because on the UOIT website they have mentioned that courses needs to be taken after the RPN completion.

I THINK you could use those electives from your degree to boost your average..I emailed them a few weeks ago about something and they never got back to me..maybe call?? But I can imagine with that average AND your electives done you’d have a better shot than me!!
