Hey guys!
I start nursing school in January and I'm on the hunt for a rolling backpack! Does anybody have any opinions or recommendations for a nice rolling backpack??
Thank you for your help!!
Several of my classmates (me included!) have these bags.

It's roomy and we all love it!
I have the High Sierra backpack pictured and it is great. But honestly, I only used it a few times before I realized I really didn't need it. We're not required to bring our textbooks to class, the only one we need sometimes is our lab manual and that is a normal size paperback. i would wait and see if you really need one before you buy it. BTW, i got mine on Ebay, new with tags.
theres a girl at school who acutally uses a medium rolling carry on bag and carries all her stuff in there.im good with my backpack & one binder.i could never figure out what ppl carry in those giant bags.. ?
I'm sure I carry more than I need in my rolling backpack but unfortunately I live 35 miles one way from school so I carry extra stuff.... During A&P and Micro we had to wear enclosed shoes for lab....so I carried those. :) I also carry water bottles, lunch, female "things." During my first semester while living in Orlando I wrecked my shoulder carrying a backpack.

I am almost finished with school and I no longer use it. I just used it for 2 semesters and it is in great condition. If anyone is interested send me a PM and I'll give you the details.

Honestly you probably aren't going to need one of those ridicilous rolling backpacks! You don't have to carry all of your books at once, during lecture you will probably be focused on PowerPoints anyway. To save some $$ why don't you go to the first day of class, see what books you need to take, then determine what size bag you will need. We ended up only taking one book to class, so I took my book, a notebook, pencil, pen, & highlighter. Much easier, and nothing is more annoying than getting your toe rolled over by a rolling backpack!
I have a rolling backpack that I never use. I found that I hurt my back more with the rolling backpack, due to having to haul the thing up & down stairs.
I prefer my good quality backpack with a chest clip and waist belt. Once it's on my back properly (ie don't try and wear a heavy backpack on just one shoulder) and cinched properly (ie, not loose and hanging down my back)....it's really comfortable.

I bought mine at eBags.com too. Every now and then they have a free shipping deal if you buy $75 or more or they will do other specials.
I bought a large Jansport bag and it is ok. I got the larger of the three they carried at the time and it was about $120. I was back and forth between that one and a Samsonite I saw. I needed (or thought I did anyway) a bag that had the backpack straps too because our elevator is out all the time at school. I used 'em maybe 3 times all year.
I did quit lugging so many books to class last semester because I found that I never cracked the books open. I just carried my laptop and cords and printouts I needed for that day and a few other little things.
My friend went to Mori Luggage in the mall and found a great rolling bag on clearance for about $40. If I had seen that one when I was looking I would have bought it! That thing has a pocket for everything and is a really great bag. Overall, I was very pleased with my Jansport bag. The wheels are sturdy and so is the handle and it was easy to lug around when I did use it.
good luck!
