Roll Call - Who's starting this summer/fall?

I know there's been a thread on this subject before, but it's been a while and now that acceptances (and rejections :o) have been rolling in, I bet there are some more to add to our ranks.

Just curious, since I have such a hard time keeping everyone on the board straight - who among us will be starting nursing school this summer and/or fall?

I start a BSN program here in Portland at Linfield on June 15. I'm a junior transfer. I'll just finish finals at PSU on my last set of prereqs the week before the nursing program starts. Things are so competitive here. I am, of course, thrilled to have a home.

HI! I'm in an Lane Community College Biochem class right now with a future classmate of yours, Kathy. She was so excited when she heard she got into Linfield's BSN program. She doesn't start until September though so unsure if your paths will cross. Good Luck!

Congrats to everyone who made it...(sort of like winning a free climb up Mt. Everest sort of feeling though...)

I start an ADN program this fall. I am still completing prereqs this summer. I am 36 with two kids and this is second career for me. :balloons:

OH you are so funny! That's exactly what it's like. I worked for 5 years part-time to obtain all my prereqs and the lower division requirements of my future RN to BSN degree and then I took like 6 or 7 extra class so if I didn't get into a nursing program I would at least have two associate degrees to take with me on my next job hunt. When I found out I got in it was exhilarating and then it was like, "What have I gotten myself into??!" LOL, I'm so glad I'm not alone in that feeling. I'm starting an ADN program in September as well and am 34 with a 13 years old daughter. Second career for me too, spent my 20's working as a tech in a Pathology Lab. Good Luck to You!

I took my NET today and passed it. It wasnt to bad being im not good at math. Well anyway I start The RN class Aug. 2 I am excited and a little nervous,just hoping i can grasp it all. :)

I am starting in the Fall at a 5 semester RN program here in Alabama. I am so excited. I can't believe the wait has come to an end. Let the fun begin!

I got my letter on friday. I start in the fall in the ADN program. The summer won't pass fast enough.

I start the BSN program at TWU on August 31. I'm torn between excitement and fear. :)

I'm going to start taking pre req's next week at a local CC, in hopes of transferring over to a BSN program. I'll apply to the closest BSN programs soon, and if I don't get accepted, I'll start a LPN program in January.

Got my letter in early May...start my RN course in August! Also qualified for two scholarships: one covers all tuition & books, the other all tuition. If I get either one it'll be a godsend! Good luck to everyone else starting this year. :balloons:
