Hey everyone on AN! Depending on your program, what's your progress so far? Are you enrolled and half way through or are you waiting to get in?

How are you liking nursing school so far? Expected graduation date?

I have just over a month left in this semester. So far its challenging but very exciting. I'm part time right now which prolongs my progress but will change to full time in Jan 2016. Expected graduation is may 2017

I definitely know how u feel.... I have had many days this semester where I just wanted to give up and not care but then I realize why I'm going through this hell. My school doesn't really have a waiting list although if u dnt get in they will tell that u are wait listed. Its pass the compass test and get everything together on time and u are in or u reapply for the next semester. If u sit out a semester u have to reapply to pick up where u left off and get with the department head to make sure she get u in. Throughout the program we don't have to maintain an 80% but ur final grade at the end has to be an 80% or above or u fail and have to retake that class. U are almost at the end so that's a good thing. Congrats on making it this far....god is amazing, won't he do it!

Specializes in Maternal Child, Home Health, Med/Surg.
I am currently on my 7th wk of class and 2nd wk of clinicals. The work load is a lot. I'm loving every minute of it. Graduation date 03/25/2016. I'm so excited

Ironic! Your graduation is my birthday lol!

We are finishing our 6th week, and I exceedingly passing my expected goals. Midterms happened, which was cumulative. So I'm a happy camper!

I am starting my program here in Louisiana on 5/11/2015, graduation date is 9/2016. I'm very excited and very nervous. I have a few friends who've graduated from the program, and some friends who are currently in the program so I kind of know.what to expect....so wish us newbies luck!!!!!!!

I got accepted into an LVN program at a CC. I am so nervous but excited. I start June 8th and graduate (hopefully) May 2016.

At this moment I am just waiting on my letter to see if I got an Interview for the LPN School I applied for. I got a 91 on my HESI so I am really hoping that I will be accepted if I get an Interview. Otherwise for me at the moment I am finishing my CNA in 3 Weeks.

Congrats to u! I'm from Louisiana also. What part of Louisiana if u dnt mind me asking?

Congratulations and good luck on your journey! Keep us updated on your progress

Well I hope u get in. My CC used the Compass test and we didn't have interviews, its basically based on a points system. Depending on the number of applicants, u pretty much are in if u pass the Compass. I'm a medical assistant now soo some of this is very familiar to me. I started in a evening class which extends my progress but I'm switching from evenings to days to get on a regular schedule. Expected graduation once I switch is 5/2017

I am from Lafayette, about an hour from Baton Rouge......I'm so very ready to get started with the program. I think it is so Awesome to have a forum to come to and vent, relate, and be supported. I feel like we all will benefit from helping and inspiring each other......THANKS GUYS!!!!!!

Ha u are not that far from me. I live in Alexandria! Yes this forum is very inspirational. It helps me stay focused when I feel like giving up. Everyone is very supportive. I started in an evening class which pushed my grad date back to 05/2017. This semester is going to be my last semester taking evening classes, that is if I pass. I feet like I'm not progressing because going evenings slows down a lot but the work is still fast paced. I'm ready to get to the end and start working. Keep us updated on your progress!

Hope to be joining this thread for a September start this year, graduating June 2016 Fingers crossed! How is everyone who has started their program doing so far?

Oh how i thought this semester would never end! I honestly thought going part time would lighten the load but it only gave me a shorter time frame to complete whats normally done full time. The stress has been so overwhelming, it brought back those migraines I used to suffer from. Thankfully I passed the one class tht had me on edge...a&p! Now a 3 week break and back at it again June 1. How's everyone doing so far?
