2015 Roll Call

Hey everyone on AN! Depending on your program, what's your progress so far? Are you enrolled and half way through or are you waiting to get in?

How are you liking nursing school so far? Expected graduation date?

I have just over a month left in this semester. So far its challenging but very exciting. I'm part time right now which prolongs my progress but will change to full time in Jan 2016. Expected graduation is may 2017

I'm waiting to hear back from the ADN programs I applied to. I'm hoping and praying that I will start in the fall. I am currently taking nursing skills at my first choice school. At this school once you apply to the nursing program they send you your ranking and then they petition you to take skills if you are high enough on the list.

I'm going on week 4, and good grief! It's definitely hard and keeps me on my toes! Most my class is failing, but I'm keeping my head above water. We start clinicals in 2 weeks, but things are moving so fast!

I know the feeling. I applied for the ADN program in October!!!! They say we won't hear anything until April. I have lost many hours of sleep anxiously waiting. A part of me kind of wishes that I just went ahead and applied to a couple LVN/LPN programs.

I just finished my first class my school does 1 class a month I'm loving it very fast paced so you don't have time to fall behind. My expected graduation date is 4/26/16 and I cannot wait!

I just finished the first week of my LVN program. Just 52 more weeks to go! After spring break is over we have an exam that spans 9 chapters. :crying2: However I love being in the program and my classmates are fantastic (so far). I expect to graduate 6/3/2016 if everything goes as planned.

Wow that is a long process...a lot of waiting. My school wasn't that hard to get in. If u make the scores required u are pretty much in as long as they have enough seats. If more people apply than spots offered then they have to do the highest scores, gpa , etc... They have been going through some changes so our entire first semester has been two classes a semester part time. January is when I finally go fulltime and everything is back on track. Unfortunately that pushed graduation back to spring '17

Yes the wait can be very nerve wrecking. I waited a while before I got any news about if I got in or not. I almost didn't because my school had my info in the wrong files...if it wasnt for me calling and going up there I prolly wouldn't have gotten in when I did. I would like to know how things turn out for you. Fingers crossed

I'm in my last semester of a LPN to RN program. I have a little over 5 weeks left until pinning. This has been a long journey of late nights and early mornings. I've sacrificed so much. It's been tough managing school, work and family. I must say my family and friends are the BEST. They have really helped me through this and I'm forever grateful. Prayer

Hello!

I just placed my application in for the associates/bachelor's program through Northern Arizona University last week! I will receive my first acceptance within a week, and then I have 2 mandatory meetings to attend before I submit my final application to be accepted. It is stressful! I am learning to not let things stress me out, I learned the hard way with the HESI (even though I passed the first time), I had such anxiety going into the exam that I over studied the math portion and BARELY passed it. I couldn't believe the questions I was drawing blanks on! Things I knew! So, lesson learned, you can't stress about things because it will only make it worse. My graduation date will be December 2017 with a BSN, and let me tell you, I am totally overwhelmed at the thought of actually starting nursing school. I have been working towards this goal for so long, and to finally be at this point - I can't help but wonder if anything will go wrong, because that is what I encountered time after time while pursuing this dream. But, I made it. This far, anyways. And sometimes you just have to sit back and hope for the very best. I will start my program in August once I am accepted. Positive thoughts!! :)

Any advice anyone can offer me for starting into the program would be greatly appreciated. Should I start studying before hand? What are some things you wish you knew for those of you that are already in the thick of it all? I look forward to hearing from anyone with any advice!

Have a beautiful Sunday!!! :)
