Hey everyone on AN! Depending on your program, what's your progress so far? Are you enrolled and half way through or are you waiting to get in?

How are you liking nursing school so far? Expected graduation date?

I have just over a month left in this semester. So far its challenging but very exciting. I'm part time right now which prolongs my progress but will change to full time in Jan 2016. Expected graduation is may 2017

Hello!

I just placed my application in for the associates/bachelor's program through Northern Arizona University last week! I will receive my first acceptance within a week, and then I have 2 mandatory meetings to attend before I submit my final application to be accepted. It is stressful! I am learning to not let things stress me out, I learned the hard way with the HESI (even though I passed the first time), I had such anxiety going into the exam that I over studied the math portion and BARELY passed it. I couldn't believe the questions I was drawing blanks on! Things I knew! So, lesson learned, you can't stress about things because it will only make it worse. My graduation date will be December 2017 with a BSN, and let me tell you, I am totally overwhelmed at the thought of actually starting nursing school. I have been working towards this goal for so long, and to finally be at this point - I can't help but wonder if anything will go wrong, because that is what I encountered time after time while pursuing this dream. But, I made it. This far, anyways. And sometimes you just have to sit back and hope for the very best. I will start my program in August once I am accepted. Positive thoughts!! :)

Any advice anyone can offer me for starting into the program would be greatly appreciated. Should I start studying before hand? What are some things you wish you knew for those of you that are already in the thick of it all? I look forward to hearing from anyone with any advice!

Have a beautiful Sunday!!! :)

I'm a week away from 6th quarter (out of 9 for my BSN) starting. I will graduate June 2016.

I'm in semester 3 of 4, due to graduate in December 2015. I love my program, though I will admit that I am excited to have a break this summer.

Congrats on making it this far! I'm happy for u. I can't wait until I'm at that point. I know that its hard to have to sacrifice things for school but it will be worth it in the end. It seems I hardly ever get to do any relaxing things but its only temporary. I did get a chance to get in a coupe of hours with my best friend to just talk and catch up. We both needed that. Seems like my program is moving like a snail but once I finish these part time classes things should pick up.

You are almost at the finish, congrats! I'm sure after all the stress school may have brought on the summer off will feel like heaven. Everyone deserves a break after hard work. Don't get too comfortable, every once in a while do a little review so you can stay fresh on the material. Enjoy your time off and good luck in your last semester.

I'm in a 12 month LPN program and we graduate this August (2015) and I'm so excited but also nervous, I want to take the NCLEX-PN soon after I finish, and I'm debating if I should work a while or go straight into an LPN-RN bridge program

Today is the day they send acceptance/rejection emails!! I'm plan to keep busy to keep from checking my phone every 5 mins.

Congrats on making it this far. I would definitely want to take nclex soon after graduating. My opinion would be to work for while and get the experience and time under your belt and then begin the bridge program. If possible, I would work while completing the bridge..it just depends on your particular situation. I hope everything works out for u. Good luck

I remember being anxious and checking the mailbox and emails what seemed like every hour. The anticipation kills you but once its over there are other things to anticipate on like what will happen on first day of class, clinical, etc. Keeps us updated on your acceptance. Hope you get in! *fingers crossed*

Im in a 12 month program. Getting in was a process because they dont have a waiting list you get in or you don't and they only selected 20 out of hundreds. I was excited about it. I heard about the horror stories of nursing school because my brother is a RN. And i thought he was over exadurating. But no ever bit he said was true. Its alot of late night and early morings. Its alot of work. We graduate Aug 2015. And I'm excited about it. Somedays I get tired and dont want to study but then i think about my goal and snap out of it. Its alot. But the program I'm in is great and i love it. It's time consuming alot of relationships have been broken up including mines. And i was ok with that because i didnt need that extra strees. Nursing school is so intense and we have to keep a 82% or your out. Every test come with alot of anxiety God has held me down.. definetly alot of praying and studying. It's a life changing process it really is.. you apreciate life more as you go through the program and see different things. But good luck on your journey and study hard

I got my acceptance email on Friday!!! I'm super excited but also very nervous at the same time!! God has definitely been my strength through this entire process!

I am currently on my 7th wk of class and 2nd wk of clinicals. The work load is a lot. I'm loving every minute of it. Graduation date 03/25/2016. I'm so excited
