I'm curious to know have anybody in the state of Louisiana went to Excelsior online to complete there LPN to RN transition and if so how was it. And what was the process. Comment if you have also went in other states. I'm curious to know about the pass rate and completion rate of this school.

I got the good pop up and passed, my name wasn't posted on the website until a week or so after my license came in the mail. But the trick worked for me.

Thanks.... I ordered the Saunder's book. I also have PrepU and ATI that I can use along with the tools I have from class.. Im praying its enough. I'm a student and I don't have $300 to give for a review.

This will be my first attempt. We have prepu and ati. And I was planning on buying Saunder's nclex. And just reviewing my my book..

Did anybody skip the live review or the reviews that cost $300. If so, how did you do on the nclex.

Im in a 12 month program. Getting in was a process because they dont have a waiting list you get in or you don't and they only selected 20 out of hundreds. I was excited about it. I heard about the horror stories of nursing school because my brother is a RN. And i thought he was over exadurating. But no ever bit he said was true. Its alot of late night and early morings. Its alot of work. We graduate Aug 2015. And I'm excited about it. Somedays I get tired and dont want to study but then i think about my goal and snap out of it. Its alot. But the program I'm in is great and i love it. It's time consuming alot of relationships have been broken up including mines. And i was ok with that because i didnt need that extra strees. Nursing school is so intense and we have to keep a 82% or your out. Every test come with alot of anxiety God has held me down.. definetly alot of praying and studying. It's a life changing process it really is.. you apreciate life more as you go through the program and see different things. But good luck on your journey and study hard

When I first started school I thought I wanted to do Geri but as we progressed I started liking different things. I like Med Surg. And loved OB. I have one semester left and that's med surg 2. I don't know if i will change my mind about med surg after this rotation. But I love OB.

I was wondering have any other nursing students experienced depression during nursing school.. It's like.. You can't work, sleep deprived, and on top of all of that your finances are sucked dry..

Oh lord I couldn't aford it with out financial aide.. that alot.. then ine of my classmates told me if I work in a none profit hospital two years they forgive your student loans..

Cost 15,000 12 month program, Louisiana no money will be left over pell is on 5700 a year.. had to get a student loan to cover the rest. Pell didnt even cover half.. but im at a university so the price is always more

Oh we did nutrition too..

Our fist semester was computers, medical term, intro to nursing, practical nursing, body structure and function, iv thereapy, medical math, geratrics, and mental health.. I cant remember the rest but it was a total of 14. Class monday-friday 8-4... serious business! ! Good luck you can do it
