  1. Wyndmoor ,Pa new grad starting $27/hr. Private duty nursing for Hospice
  2. Pennsylvania is good! Especially in the city of Philadelphia or the outskirts of philly! You can make anywhere from $23-$28 starting
  3. I'm in Pennsylvania
  4. I just wanted to share my experience! I'm a new LPN. My 13 month program turned into two years for me. I had a rough time with certain courses but second time around was better for me. I graduated and was employed 3 weeks later starting at $27/hr. Talk about a blessing!!!
  5. I'm a single mother and the Go to person of my siblings. Whatever you are trying to achieve can be done but in nursing school you have to have a balance otherwise it's going to be really hard or a waste of time. It's nothing to take lightly. I think if you're really trying to become a nurse then try to develop a good balance with your outside life. If that is not possible them maybe wait until a later time or try to go for something else that may be more convenient. I'm in my last term and it took a lot to get here. Good luck to you!
  6. Hello! Not sure about Orlando because I'm from Pennsylvania, but I'm 4 months into LPN school and it is VERY intense. There is a lot of work in a short period of time. It's possible though. I have learned to study ready and study lol. Use ur ATI books and do all questions after each chapter. Take notes. My classmates and I have a chat group just for us in which we post assignments and share our information. Stick together if u can. Clinicals are not that bad to me. I like hands on. Just remember when ur in clinicals that YOU are the student nurse. U have an important job. Ask as many questions and do not be afraid to say that you do not know or understand something. I promise I asked majority of the questions but I like clarification! Hope this helps. Good luck!
  7. Hello! I'm am too into my 4th month but I'm at a C average. I can say that my friends who are already nurses have said to definitely use your ATI books. Also to do the questions at the end of each chapter that you read. Also take notes in class if need be. I started using my ATI for the math portion for PHARMACOLOGY. We were given this test twice. The first time without ATI I failed with a 48% and the second time we were given it our highest possible grade would only be a 75% and I got a 76 but was given the 75. Hope this helps. Good luck!
  8. Hello! I started in March! I'm going for Lpn. It's very exciting but very hard work. Nothing is impossible so stay focused and DO NOT become discouraged!
  9. I am currently on my 7th wk of class and 2nd wk of clinicals. The work load is a lot. I'm loving every minute of it. Graduation date 03/25/2016. I'm so excited
  10. I take my teas exam on the 30th of this month and I'm so nervous. I'm no g good with tests. Some how I always manage to pass. I'm only OK when I know exactly what will be on a test. Can anyone give any helpful tips? What score do you have to have to pass?
  11. Hello! I know the job of a nurse isn't always easy. What are some of the Best experiences you've had as an LPN?
  12. Thanks everyone! I think I'm going to try and pursue in the area where I want to be and see what happens. I do plan on advancing my career once I get my foot in the door.
