I love this question because it's so odd to me. :) I had some of my classmates ask me what I was going to buy myself with my first nursing job paycheck. I stared at them blankly. They were thinking about their first real job and real paycheck, and I've been there/done that. All I was thinking about was how much easier it would be to pay for the second kid's orthodontia.
Thinking back to when I got my first real job almost 20 years ago, I bought a computer when very few people had one. The modem was a 28k, and that was the fastest you could buy at the time.

I remember when we got a 2400 baud modem and it seemed like greased lightning. Ah, the bad old days.

We all know RN school is hard enough. Some excell in it, some struggle, while others enjoy a challenge. I am starting to think I am going to have to reward myself with something very nice in the END ( graduation). I would like to ask "all nurses " what did you do for yourself, to reward yourself for all the hard work? Something? Anything? Nothing? Take care.
:yeah:
