If you do some further reading, there's a couple of good step-by-step process informational advice for the applicants that are IL specific in these forum.

Do i need to take a classes for CNA or LPN to get a cerftificate.?Any advice please...

Specializes in Med/Surg, Ortho, ASC.

I don't know about a CNA certificate. It might be very easy to take a course and receive your certification.

But an LPN carries a nursing license, just as an RN does. All of the hoops to jump through regarding education, qualification to sit for the NCLEX, etc., would also apply.

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

If you challenge LVN by method 3 equivalent education/experience and pass NCLEX your license would only be valid in CA and not eligible for endorsement to any other state. Go to the CA BVNPT website for application information. There are multiple threads in the nurse registration forum on the subject

Thank u guys for quick response appreciated:)

Specializes in ICU, ER.
