RN pay in Las Vegas

Published

I was an LPN for 4 years then got my RN and have been working as an RN since August. Most of my experience is hospice. I make $27/hr where I live. I was wondering if I could request feedback from nurses with similar experience on what they're making (in Las Vegas). From the looks of it, the cost of living might be a bit less than where I'm currently living. Just trying to figure out if I could make it there. :) Your help is appreciated!

As a new grad I make 25.50, I think you should be able to get 27 than easy!

As a new grad, I made $28. Now, nearly two years out, I have switched jobs and make a bit more. You can easily make at least $27.

i started as a new grad years ago and it was 26...

I believe new grad pay in the valley health systems is 29-30/hr right now.

Hi, are these salaries for BSN or Associate RN's?

Thanks

It does not matter around here. For most staff RN positions, the pay is the same.

2nd the last comment. Pay is usually the same whether BSN or not.

I have 6 years hospital experience, last 2 is from the Emergency Dept. and I am from Guam (a small island in the pacific, US territory) would the hospitals give relocation incentives?

Probably not. We aren't exactly starving for nurses here.
