Why is it that you can't see your actually results for this test.. Are the so called graph? That seem fishy..and how come you can do a whole test.. And pass or fail.. By the determination if it above the line or under the line..Now ,that's really showing my nursing knowledge$$$$$$. I'm just a concern test taker.. A lot of money is being made .and I don't think it's about safety or competent nurse.. Because we still continue to have many nurses that can pass this but still making neg decision.. Are don't even know what they are doing..

Between that and the OP's post wording/grammar, I'm wondering if the issue is English as a foreign language. Perhaps if that's the case OP would benefit from an ESL course?

Stay on the subject..I wasn't trying to bash anyone..and grammar is not subject, and I'm not seeking a English grammer award. Hope that made you feel better.

I have, and I'm not angry the grading system of it , questionable when they really don't show you the test result.. Graph?

That is on subject, the PP was just trying to help. There are a lot of foreign grads who have difficulty passing the NCLEX because English is their second language. We don't know if this is the case for you. If it isn't, then move on, if it can help you then heed her advice.

No way is the NCLEX a conspiracy. Oh wait... Maybe a conspiracy to protect the public.....

You make no sense. What is the difference in seeing pass/fail vs a numerical score? The exam has been scored pass fail for decades and qualified thousands of competent nurses. I'm sorry you have failed the NCLEX-RN three times and now have decided that it must be a big secret conspiracy since you haven't been able to secure a passing result. The fact remains that the overwhelming majority of candidates pass the NCLEX on their first attempt.

There no secret.. Just facts. When do anyone take a test and really don't receive real results.. And it's not about me passing because I will. But something's just need to be put out there in the open..

What's a secret? Some tests are pass/fail, some are graded. The NCLEX is pass fail. Why don't you put this energy into studying?

The fact remains that the vast majority of American educated nurses pass on their first attempt.

NCLEX is a computer adaptive test. It will shut off once it has been determined that you are either consistently above or below the passing level.

No conspiracy, just the best way to ensure only competent graduates become nurses.

Also, you should consider changing your screen name as it against TOS to identify oneself as nurse/RN/LPN without proper licensure.

OP, you have misunderstood the post from Rose_Queen suggesting that you may have misunderstood the questions and thus not been able to select the correct answer(s) in your three attempts to pass the NCLEX. It is exceptionally difficult to get the right answer when you don't understand the question.

Arguing over the grading of the exam won't work like it did in nursing school. You really did receive real results and they all said you failed.

Thirty plus years ago, the NCLEX was a 2 day test. It was broken into 3 sections each day over several hours for each section (this was too many years ago for me to get every detail exact). It was timed and you were expected to answer all of the questions.

We got scores for each section. You had to have a certain score to pass but anything over that didn't count for a cumulative score, it counted for that section only. If you failed just one portion of the NCLEX, even by one point, you failed the test.

The retake was 6 months later. The test was administered only twice a year, by pencil and paper, with hundreds of other nurse candidates. You also waited up to 3 months for results which came via snail mail.

Whether you get an exact score or pass fail doesn't really matter. If you really need a number to make sense of it, confer pass 100% and fail 0%. It's sort of all or nothing.

Hey, pretty good memory I'd say.

I still have my original score sheet. Passing was 350 except for New York and California where you needed 500.

A graph for what exactly? Whether or not you got question 63 correct? What good will that do? To protect the question bank, they cannot show you the questions again or the rationale. In fact, let's say you remember what question 63 was. You could then go around telling everyone that NCLEX question and it's answer. If you fail, they send you a report outlining whether you were passing or failing in the individual categories.

I thought "back in the day" you could re-take a section that you failed and not have to repeat the whole test. Everything was broken down into sections like Psych, OB, Med Surg, etc. Or so that's what my mom told me. She would have taken the test in 1972. :sneaky:
