I am enrolled in the RN-MSN program at Aspen University and after finishing the first two courses I feel that this has been a great choice. If anyone out there is looking for an affordable program with solid nursing content check out Aspen.
I've finished the RN-BSN program and am very very happy I did it at Aspen. I will continue on for my MSN. There are about 2 dates for every class to start in every month, it is nationally accredited for both the MSN and the BSN. It is a do-it-yourself program, no group projects, which for me, is key! The instructors always respond to me in a timely manner, each week we do a paper and a discussion, it is not difficult at all, you just have to dedicate some time thats all. I spend a few hours on a paper per week, nothing complicated. You can take a hiatus if you need, they are very flexible with extending deadlines, or start dates, refund policies are good to. I have rented all of my texts from various websites...i recommend Aspen to everyone I know who has an ADN or who wants to go from BSN to MSN, just do a post-masters certificate for an NP if thats what you want. I also do payment plans for aspen, very affordable BSN and MSN programs compared to many such as WGU orothers nationally.
I am currently enrolled in Aspen RN to MSN. I am planning to take the proctored exam necessary to move on to grad school portion. There are two formats for the exam: multiple choice or essay. I choose essay. Can anyone share any recommendations from going through this experience? I don't have all my books still so I was planning on ebooks to access since it is open book. Do they allow you to use your own lap top? Or do you have to use the computer at the proctor's site?
Has anyone actually graduated from Aspen University's MSN program?
I will be graduating from Aspen with my MSN in September. Feel free to contact me anytime with questions. So far my experience with Aspen has been good. The program has not been hard but it is time consuming. I'm single with no kids so I'm able to take a bigger course load than most. Contact me anytime [email protected]
Hi jmuhammad10, I have been considering Aspen University for sometime now (I have been accepted to UTA, SNHU, Fort Hays). I just would like to be able to get my BSN the easiest and the fastest way while staying affordable. My main ultimate goal is to able to get into an NP program (Mental Health/Psychiatric NP). Can you give me any feedback on how you went about your transition from RN-MSN to having your certificate post MSN (from which school did you pursue your NP education after graduating from Aspen?). Did you encounter any difficulty with transferring credits from Aspen? If not, can you also give me any feedback on how you are doing now? If you had to do your nursing education again would you have still chosen the same path you took? Just curious--your ideas will be highly appreciated.
Hi Carl,
Its been probably more than 2 years since you've written this post I hope you still have the email address you gave above. Just want to hear your experience with Aspen University since I am considering to enroll in their RN-BSN or RN-MSN program. Any feedback will be highly appreciated. I tried to e-mail you using the above e-mail address. Hope any of these message gets to your attention.
