Hi!!
I'm starting the RN to BSN online program January 4, 2016. First class is NUR351. I was wanting to reach out and see if any others would be starting this course at the same time. I thought it would be nice hearing from fellow classmates and getting to know one another so we could discuss course and future school plans to help encourage one another! Look forward to hearing from you!!
I think it would be hard with my attention seeking daughter. Anyone ever have Prof Serafini?
I had Carr for NR 305 and I *loved* her. She has been my favorite online instructor so far. Wish I could take another course with her. Very engaged with the students and sends e-mails to check in with you to see how you're doing managing the course with daily life. I really appreciated her encouragement :)
Yep! Those of us who started before May are stuck taking it. I got very lucky with this course. After I took the final, I had calculated my grade as missing an A by 0.8 points. Imagine my surprise when grades posted and I had an A. I went back in to the grade book and my instructor changed the grades to go to 2 decimal places, instead of rounding down. The extra 0.9 points that gave me bumped me up to an A by 0.1 points! Whew!!!!! That was the hardest class I've taken. Statistics was a breeze compared to Econ. So glad there are no more non-nursing classes to take.
I also found out that I cannot take my Capstone course at the same time as my other nursing courses. I had originally planned on completing the BSN in October. I'll have to take Capstone as a stand-alone course in November, so I'll graduate in December.
Anyone planning on going to commencement in Chicago in February? I'm definitely going!
Is anyone still left in our group? Last day of the May semester is tomorrow. YAY! I need the break from school.
I'm only taking one course in the July session, since I have vacation planned during that time. I figured it would be easier to concentrate on just one class, rather than trying to do homework for both during vacation.
Are any of you planning on going to the graduation ceremony in Chicago in March? At first, I wasn't going to go, but my husband & I talked it over and he thinks we should go and make a nice weekend out of it. The ceremony is only for those of us in the online programs.

Yes, it's no longer a required course for nursing majors. You should feel very, very lucky you don't have to take it. It was SO much work to keep my GPA intact in that course. Holy cow, every week was 20+ hours of homework to stay on top of the material. Just have to take the final this week. Hallelujah!!!!!
Thankfully, that's the last of my non-nursing courses :)
Good luck to those of you starting in a few weeks. I can't believe I'm halfway done with my BSN already. It goes by fast!
