RN to BSN online program January 4, 2016

Hi!!

I'm starting the RN to BSN online program January 4, 2016. First class is NUR351. I was wanting to reach out and see if any others would be starting this course at the same time. I thought it would be nice hearing from fellow classmates and getting to know one another so we could discuss course and future school plans to help encourage one another! Look forward to hearing from you!!

I was just reading about this class, it is my final class before my capstone course. Any recent updates on how hard Economics is? :-(

It's very time consuming. Unfortunately, all the non-nursing courses are run by DeVry. They run their courses as if everyone is a business major, not a nursing major. The requirements for discussion posts are much more involved than the nursing courses and the volume of homework was about 20+ hours per week. The only saving grace about this course is that you get 3 attempts to re-take the quizzes, which you will desperately need because the book and the program they use for homework/quizzes don't mesh up very well. There's little explanation on how to solve some of the problems you get in MEL and when you look in the book, you only see a basic example, not an intricate example. It was VERY frustrating for our class. Our instructor provided no lectures, either (some do recorded lectures, but we heard this was stopped). Our group banded together to protest this course being a part of the nursing curriculum. They've since changed their requirements and if you started after May 2016, you can do Political Science instead of Econ. If you have the chance to switch, I highly recommend it.
