Hello everyone. I just wanted to start the thread for all the new applicants of RCC's Nursing Program for Spring 2014. This thread is to help each other stay current with old and new information about the program. Share your thoughts about the application process, teas V preparation, acceptance, and support group. Let the applications begin!!
True! It is such a blessing to even be in the program! : )True! :) I have never been to Arrowhead, but I 've heard great things about it!My first choice is Cohort B at Kaiser and my second choice would be Cohort B at Riverside Regional in Moreno Valley. I live all the way in Hemet/San Jac so Regional would be the closest. It looks like a lot of people want Kaiser, it's a great hospital. Either way I am happy at any place I get! lol (:
Even if i'm just on standby?
I agree with the previous post to not get all the books just yet. If you're still on standby just get the Taylor text....if you look at the postings from students currently in the program they say Taylor is the most important text.
I bought all mine last week I spent almost $700.
Like everyone says get the most important books. But also have a uniform ready, your backround check good, supply bag ( just important things). Because what IF you get in the day before class starts or something? Worst case scenerio and I hope isnt the case for you is, that everything you have will just roll over and just re apply for the next session. At least that was told to me, for the people who are on standby..You know what I mean?Even if I'm just on standby?
I'm thinking I should buy everything next week. What do you all think?
I'm on standby also and I am not buying anything until I'm in. -------------- told me to get the physical and be ready to go (money). Why waste the money if we don't get in? What if they change books, bags, and uniforms the next semester? You never know. He also said the have uniforms to lend standbys.
Once you get cleared to register, you register on web advisor with the section number that corresponds to the clinical site/cohort you wantHey guys, I'm confused on the registration part. How do we register into the different cohorts? and which classes are we suppose to register when our registration dates open? Do we register into our desired cohorts through webadvisor when we register for class?
Once you get cleared to register, you register on web advisor with the section number that corresponds to the clinical site/cohort you want
Thanks EMT23,
So this January 8th registration date is only for those who have priority? because mine is on the 17th from what webadvisor tells me. There's talk on incentive for getting ourselves all cleared early for priority registration, does that mean our registration date can change if we get all our stuff done early?
