Hi everyone!
I thought I would begin a thread for everyone applying to the nursing program at Riverside City College for the spring 2016. Hope we can share about our process here. :)
Currently, I'm finishing up my Anatomy/Physiology 2 and Sociology 100 at CSUSB. So far, I've been doing well, I think haha! If I finish with an A in sociology I'll have a 4.0 for my general eds and a 3.0 for my science gpa. After the spring quarter, I'll be studying for the TEAS exam for a little over a month and take the exam in July. Any advice that's related to the TEAS exam?
Hope we can begin this thread. Best wishes to everyone here! :)
Yes, I do attend RCC and I'm just trying to figure out the quickest way to get my sciences done. Is Chem-3 harder then 2A, the course description online is the same for both of the classes. I'm not sure if Chem-3 combines 2A and 2B, I want to keep my options open for the next semester.
To be honest, I wouldn't know the difference. I took all of my prereqs at CSUSB and it's a different type of chemistry. However, I went to the informational session and the counselor said that if you took Chemistry for a full year in high school and passed with a B or higher then it will count for the prereq.
I would advice you to talk with the counselor if you have questions on the prereqs. I don't want to give you false information.
I have a question. I wanted to wait to see if RCC invited me to take TEAS. Money is an issue for me, so the more I can save the better for me. Invited go out in October, but what if I don't get an invite. Is it easy to schedule the TEAS test somewhere else. I was told TEAS scores are due in November. Any suggestions??
I spoke with someone that's part of the nursing process and she suggested to reserve a spot at another location (she suggested Loma Linda ) at end of September/early October just to be safe. She said some students waited till the notifications went out and all the places were booked. She said Lima Linda was the least expensive about $75
