Hello everyone, I'd like to start this thread for fall 12 cohort. I'm from Bay area and planning to apply nursing program at RCC. I've read that the application should be available on Jan 03, but I couldnt find it. I did emailed ---- yesterday, and he said it would be up today but nothing yet. Where can i download the application. Any inputs are welcome
Yo all should be hearing something in late May early June. The word is they are only excepting 60 students versus the 80 originally planned for, so the better your points are the chances getting in increases. Which means the alternate list gets longer and the cut off could be around 80 points. Hope I did not burst anyone's bubble, but this the reality off the competitiveness of trying to get into nursing school. Good luck to you all!
The program is really good with the new nursing school building and all the state of the art simulations, practice labs, computer rooms. The instructors are all top notch, very practiced and knowledgeable. There are many classmates of mine that travel from good distances, couple even from northern cal. Some have relocated and some make the commute. I am sure you will figure out the easiest way for you to attend.
I graduated December 2011 and took my boards in January. It is very difficult for new grads to find jobs right now, RCC included (I don't know if it's easier for RCC grads over other schools, though). I count myself fortunate to have gotten one. I don't know how many of my classmates have jobs at this point, but if I had to guess I would guess 1/2 to 2/3 of the class.

it depends on when you apply. Usually, there are more ppl applying on Fall. So Fall is more competitive. But, 85 is good enough. Good luck tho.
