Ritttenhouse Trial

Published

The Rittenhouse trial has begun in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The prosecution is presenting first, but apparently the defense argument will be self-defense. So a 17 year old travels out of state with his rifle to a demonstration because he fears for his life?

And, I would be interested in hearing more about this constitutional right to "act as militia."

10 U.S. Code § 246 - Militia: composition and classes

(a)

The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.

(b)The classes of the militia are—(1)

the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and

(2)

the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Nava”

Brave Kyle is considered to be unorganized militia.

You thought that was an important addition to a thread about a trial. I guess I know what to expect in way of "discussion" from you.

Are you seriously disregarding a former Presidents view on the matter?   One who endured countless attacks a throughout his time in office from the evil that Kyle faced that night.

Stating that Mr. Rittenhouse was a member of the "unorganized militia" is, at best, a stretch.  What he was, in my opinion, was an untrained teenager, who decided to take a weapon, illegally, into another state.  If one chooses to carry a weapon, he or she needs to not only how to shoot, but more importantly, when to shoot.  Mr. Rittenhouse failed to do the latter, and as a result of his failure to do so two people are dead.

And even if we were to agree, which we won't, that he was a member of militia, it had not been called up:

Quote

Whenever the President considers that unlawful obstructions, combinations, or assemblages, or rebellion against the authority of the United States, make it impracticable to enforce the laws of the United States in any State by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings, he may call into Federal service such of the militia of any State, and use such of the armed forces, as he considers necessary to enforce those laws or to suppress the rebellion.

Yeah, I am.

What evil are you talking about? Rosenbaum? Huber?

Currently he's broadly known as the kid who crossed state lines to shoot a couple people.

There was an attack on our nation.  Militia was necessary.  He obviously handled himself well as he is alive and the enemies of the state are now deceased.  As the law states age 17 is the minimum, which Kyle was at the time.  Men his age as mature as he is are rare these days.  Nowadays most 17 year olds are limp wristed purple haired fairies who need counseling when they see a frog meme.  The fact that he has any charges at all shows the moral decay of our nation.  He should be getting a presidential Medial and be on the cover of Time.

Which one is the one who rapes young men?  Kyle is lucky he wasn’t sexually violated that night.

Do not talk about purple hair!! They will call you a "queer hater"!! And soon a nazi white supremacist because you have a different opinion. It doesn't matter if you are not even white!

You seem to be practicing hyperbolic and provocative commenting.  Kyle is facing serious prison time, he should hope his luck holds out.

There sides seem to be some commonality in the nonsense...

Well. I just watched testimony that Rosenbaum had threatened Rittenhouse and the guy he was with. Something like"if I see you two I'll f*cking kill you".(paraphrased). The witness also testified that Rosenbaum was hyper aggressive several times with every interactions he witnessed and had been restrained several times.

White supremacy and race doesn’t matter to the Alt Left anymore.  Larry Elder was the black face of white supremacy and now that LT Gov of VA is a black female white supremacist somehow.  The left has been reading too much David Icke.

As I stated I am not glued to this trial as some seem to be, but have seen some video and read some of the testimony.

I'll ask my question again.  What exactly have you heard, seen, or read that justifies Mr. Rittenhouse shooting three unarmed men, and killing two.

The first shooting, a shot was fired in the air by one of the men chasing Rittinhouse, followed by one of them lunging for his gun.

In the second shooting, he is being attacked after falling on the ground.  He's being kicked and he ends up killing the guy trying to smash his head with a skateboard.

Witnesses testified to all the above, which also on video.

If he hadn't taken the action he did, I believe he would be the one who ended up dead.
