Is anyone currently enrolled in this class or still have the books for this class. I ordered my books over a week ago, but am having trouble with fedex sending them on time. Can someone please copy or fax the pages for lesson one to me and I will compensate them for it? Thank you!

Can you tell me if this worked out for you...at least so far I need to register soon!!!!
Thanks, diana
Hi Dana,
Yes, it worked out for me and so far I am loving the class. This class ties up a lot of things that I learned in my Bio, Chem, and BioChem classes and the book is great too! Let me know if you have any questions. Just make sure you get your proctor set up now if you are not in the state of Arizonia.

How did this class work out for you? I am struggling with it.
So far everything is going well. However there is a lot of reading so I have to make sure I stay on top of it to complete the work. Are you in the class that started 4/13?
I am in the class that started in March. I am taking my final in Jul and I can only hope to pass. I would never recommend this class to anyone else.
Let me know if you need help. I just had my midterm and did well on it. Make sure you study all the assignments and make sure you cover everything on the study guide. I actually went back and made flash cards on everything on the study guide. Although it was very time consuming and I did not have time left to study them, but I think it really helps. Anyways, let me know if you need help.

I will look at the study guide. I noticed questions being pulled from the ch tests the instructor post at the end of each lesson. I bombed the med term b/c I didn't study correctly. I went from an A to failing. Who is your instructor?
This is what I am studying: syl and essay questions, quizzes submitted for grade, terms via flashcards, quizzes at the end of the lesson. What am I missing. I am so stressed.
How did you study for the essay questions? It just seems like to much and I don't know how to make it easier to remember.
Thank you for all of your advice and help. I do not want to re-take micro.

can i remind members of terms of service and not to mention names of individual instructors
no potentially libelous information about specific schools, instructors, or health care facilities/entities should be posted in these forums. while it is important to be able to network, everyone should be mindful of the following:
1. it is a small world - when we narrow it down to a state and throw in some personal info, there is actually a pretty good chance someone may recognize you if you are not careful. your privacy is paramount to us.
2. while allnurses.com is a wonderful place to vent (without excess personally identifiable details) it is not the place to express why ("x" specific person, place or program) is terrible. gripe away, but since we cannot permit allegations to be made about named entities, your care in not naming them is very much appreciated.
3. please do not give out personal information about others. do not name names where anyone could identify the person in any facility including your nursing programs.
Yes, that class is way to expensive to have to take it over. It sounds like you are studying everything you are supposed to. There is way to much info to remember everything. I studied everything that you studyed, but I made flash cards from the study guide only and that took me about three days to do and I still did not feel like I studied enough because there is so much info. I just read over the essay questions and tried to understand the concept rather than memorize, but after reading so much about the gram staining procedure you kind of memorize it. I also visualized myself acctually doing the procedure....like the hangdrop method. My professor is a woman, but they do not make up the exam or course outline it is standard for everyone, but they answer questions and grade our work. The MC was worth about 160 by itself so if you go over all the quizes you should be fine. The essay questions were worth 40 total( 10 points per question)and I only felt confident on one, but still managed to get an A. Make sure you answer them like you do on the HW, and even if you don't really think you know the answer just take a second to think about it and atleast try to write something to get partial credit. Remember that the more points its worth the more you will have to write(10 points=half page).Look at the chapter quizzes and the ones you turned in for credit also. You should memorize deffinitions, but try to understand the concept and visual yourself doing the procedures. I hope this will help you. We can exchange email if you have something you want to go over. Goodluck!
I do have another question. Could you please send me a pm.

i am taking my midterm in two weeks and i'm so scared! there is so much information and it seems impossible to be able to memorize everything but these past post have really helped me to focus in on what i should be studying.
i do have a couple questions though...when you said study the chapter quizzes do you mean the quizzes at the end of the chapter in the book? were a lot of the midterm mc questions taken from these quizzes? also, did it seem to focus more on certain chapters in the book or was it pretty even? i'm having so much trouble with chapter 5 (atp, oxidation, cellular respiration, ect) that i'm hoping the test won't ask much about that or else i might be in big trouble!
thanks for the help!
